It’s my first time playing the game and I’ve got a question. I don’t understand how I’m supposed to know where and when to go to witness a character event. For example : I just got the Blast Mask, using the NintendoLife guide that told me that I had to go to North Clock Town at midnight on the First Night, to witness the Old Lady being mugged by a thief. It’s great, but I would like to play the game without using a guide. But that way, how was I suppose to know that this Old Lady would appear in North Clock Town at precisely this hour ? I don’t think I saw any hint in the Bombers Notebook, and the Bomb Shop Owner only said that he was waiting for a delivery... Was there any hint to help me go at the right place at the right time ? Am I missing something ?

The game will drop hints on where and when you need to be for certain events. If you failed the old lady quest, on the second day she will mention she was mugged on the first night in North Clock Town.

Here are the following hints:
1. Bombers will tell you rumors
2. Gossip stones will give you hints
3. The Sheikah stone will tell you where heart pieces are
4. People will sometimes mention a schedule that they run on

Really, you found these things out through exploration. I also think a Bomber will tell you that someone got robbed on the first night.

If you don't like having the guide, then don't use one, or wait until you get to the end of the game.

OK. So the best way would be to simply talk to everyone in the town, on each day, and see if they tell me something that might help me? I will do that.

Thanks!
