It's difficult getting a cosmog on the gts? I put a female Passimian in a beast ball up for trade last night, and had received a cosmog in return by this morning.

I tried with totodiles, dratinies and beldums for several days. All in rare balls. No luck.

And trying for one of the ones up for trade usually resulted in "this pokemon was already traded". And of course, there is usually only one good offer amongst dozens of people asking for dumb stuff.

I've been away from this thread for a while to avoid spoilers, but I finally finished the game and did some post game stuff.

I caught all of UBs, and even Necrozma, though I ended up just using a Master Ball on it. Maybe I should have saved it for a Shiny, but in all my life of playing Pokemon I've never encountered a wild Shiny... Oh well, I guess I'll just hope to get more from the lottery.

Trust me, I know what trading on the GTS can be like, I had enough trouble getting all the Vivillon patterns (that weren't time exclusive, already had those) earlier this year. I think, perhaps, that the 'mon you were offering were a bit too rare or sought after, they're the sort of 'mon that everyone else breeds and sticks up for trade as well. The rarer the 'mon in game, the more readily available it is on the GTS I figure, which is why I thought a Passimian an ideal candidate, rare enough to be interesting, and also being a female in an interesting ball. Anyway, the Cosmog I traded for will be evolved in Cosmoem and will go into my living 'dex as well.

Actually, the gender is irrelevant now. Males can pass down the ball type too.

Although I guess, if someone doesn't know that, they'll still go for the females.

An update to my "hatch five eggs and reset" method:

It does not work at all this generation.

I'm not sure by how many, but these games seem to have a set "list" of eggs to generate.

So, at the very least, those five eggs will always be the same.

Now, it seems that this can actually be exploited. From what I hear... This is not limited by the species of the pokemon... So, apparently, an egg set to be shiny.... Will be shiny even if you change the species to be born.

Got a shiny Wishiwashi after around 30 summons in a S.O.S. battle yesterday. If that thing about 70 summons to get a larger chance of shinies is true, I guess I just got really lucky.

Never heard of that, but from the little I could find, it seems that in gen VI the game generated only one egg in advance. I think.

Here, it is multiple of them.

@Meowpheel Ive heard you do 30 eggs, see and react accordingly. Its just because the egg isnt generated entirely upon pickup, its now in advance but im not sure from what point. I think natures, balls and species are upon pickup but shinyness is predetrmined.

Hard to say since most factors can be changed.

I hatched a perfect modest Wingull.

Not sure if going for a shiny is worth the effort.

Yeah, they finally realised that most people use the elite four for level grinding.

Just wish they made it so you could skip the intro cutscenes too.

Maybe after a few defeats they could grow increasingly sarcastic and shorten their introductions.

Eventually they'd just be waiting for you in the middle room with the money and a bag of exp.

Lol that would be hilarious, althought a bit depressing at the same time.

I had a Christmas party with my nerdy friends and we could play battle royales and some multi battles.

It was fun, they got to experience the wrath of Peeko. Specially the person who had a team consisting of pokemon all weak to either water or flying.

Fun times.

Tried chaining Araquanids twice, both today and yesterday. Got to around 150 for both before I got bored and quit.

An interesting little interview. They mention the possibility of regional forms returning and they acknowledged D/P remakes, I suppose... It also seems that they have no current plan for Pokemon on Switch, but are open to it.

They also state they took inspiration from Pokemon Snap for the PokeFinder, since it worked so well with the 3DS. I hope this means one day they'll take inspiration from that and make a proper sequel on 3DS...

GTS and Wonder Trade have been amazing experiences these past couple days.

I've been getting a good amount of "breedjects" that I can use and even a perfect shiny through Wonder Trade and GTS has been really good for the Dex. Might even try for Pokédex completion at some point this time; I've never done that before.
