Soooo... Looking into the special munchlax, I learned that there's apparently a special Meowth with the move Happy Hour that can be obtained in any european gen VI game with the code "HAPPY", and the event is still going.
... I want one.
Could anyone from Europe get me one? I can give rare pokemon in exchange.
@Meowpheel We could. But we dont have the game to send it to you. And I think most of gen 6 features are down now too. Trading may still be up. Not sure.

Not sure what's that about, but I'll answer anyway.
This particular beauty has a gastly. And it will start off with mean look. Its only damaging move is lick.
I was stuck fighting her for like 30 minutes, until her gastly started to struggle. I thought metronome would be enough... But the gastly has spite too...
@ me when you want to trade. If we aren't 3ds friends, there's always the option of putting Meowth in the GTS. I assume not many people will be interested in taking a Meowth requesting a Raikou.
Holy crap this storyline. I just got to Poni Island and already they ramped things up to 11.
There's some predictable things in this storyline, like Aether (or at least part of Aether) being evil and Lillie and Gladion being related to Lusamine, but still plenty of plot twists in this storyline. I didn't predict Lusamine and Guzma working together, I thought Guzma would turn out to be a good guy but apparently not. Also, Lusamine is just plain insane and heartless, I love her as a villain. Her "collection" of Pokemon really creeped me the heck out and she clearly just wants to watch the world burn.
So trials are glorified gyms. Go to exclusive area, do small task (Find X thing/take x photo at set point you cant miss/answer easy questions) then battle a type themed Pokémon, just like in Gyms, all leading to the Totem Pokémon, which honestly since auras /can/ (Under one known circumstance) be used by trainers...might as well be the main Pokémon of a Gym Leader.
What was the point of trials again? It's just a different coat of paint laced with a little bit of repetitive side quest

Trials give a new little minigame+a boss battle. I wouldn't consider the totem pokemon to just be the trainer's main pokemon, since it can also call for help, has massively boosted stats, and their moveset synergizes really well with the pokemon they call (sometimes).
It does in fact introduce a way to give pokemon "boss battles" rather than just beating a guy with rarish pokemon that are fully evolved.
As far as the minigames go for the trial itself, well think of the puzzles you have to finish before making it to the gym leader. I'd rather deal with Hiker David over doing the Sootopolis puzzle.
I've just started playing the full game yourself but from what I played in the demo, the Totem Pokémon are the closest thing the main series has had to more traditional boss fights.
It just reminds me of B/W2's Black/White Kyurem encounter and how simple it was, even though it was clearly meant to be intimidating...
