Topic: Ninja Usagimaru

Ninja Usagimaru is a puzzle platformer apparently releasing next week (in NA) for $4.99.

It has a traditional Japanese theme, and you play as a ninja, who in each level must rescue a villager by using your platforming prowess & ninja tools to avoid traps and defeat the Mononoke (the evil beings behind the kidnappings).

It's page can be found by going to the advanced search, and searching with no particular parameters set.

Oh, I have this on my Japanese 3DS and enjoyed it quite a bit! Didn't think it would get localized since that was years ago.
The Japanese title is 疾風のうさぎ丸 (Shippuu no Usagimaru)

Wait, on Nintendo's page it says "To enjoy the 3D effect of Nintendo 3DS software, you must experience it from the system itself. All screenshots and videos on this website have been captured in 2D mode.
Use Parental Controls to restrict 3D mode for children 6 and under."
However I believe that the game is only 2D (unless they added 3D when they translated it)

I'm finally going to be getting a new SD card, meaning I'll be able to start buying eShop games again, so I'll be sure to get around to this eventually, even though I have other stuff to catch up on.

This heavily reminds me of Rabi X Laby, so I expect this to get really hard later on...

Just finished up the demo!

It consists of 5 tutorial levels, and two real levels (one early, easier level, and one later, more difficult level). The more difficult level took me about 6 or 7 tries to beat, lol.

I don't play that many puzzle platformers (last one I played was Mighty Switch Force! I believe), but I think I'll DL the whole game eventually.

The sprites look good, and they animate nicely. The traditional Japanese setting and music provide a pretty soothing atmosphere as well, IMO. The animations on the title screen aren't very smooth, but the art looks nice, and as I said before, things look pretty good in motion when you actually get to the actual game.

Anyone else try it yet (either the demo or the full thing)?

It starts out fairly easy and most of the levels weren't too hard, but I believe the last part had some pretty difficult puzzles.
