Well that makes a lot more sense then haha... I must've just glanced at the name, then when he's swimming through the ground with lava there was no doubt in my mind.

@JaxonH We did better than I did before on the triple monster quest haha (although the group I was with before didn't have very good armour), also I guess that because the Kirin is an elder dragon that it can't be trapped.

We should try it again after upgrading armor a little more, bring some demondrug and armorskins, eat meal for thunder resistance (all the monsters use thunder attacks), bring 10 mega potions with 10 potions/10 honeys, a far caster, and a whole lot of patience to wait for openings when attacking.

Oh, and I didn't realize it but we need multiple tickets from mini Tetsucabra, should run that quest another time or two for insect glaive. And I didn't know Kirin was elder dragon, doesn't look like one anyways but sure ran over that pitfall like 5 times

Does anyone else find the manual camera too slow in MH4U? It feels a lot slower than MH3U. I always prefer using the manual camera control but am finding it frustrating in the heat of battle in 4U. Is it possible to adjust the speed?

I have a noob question. Is it possible to explore without taking on a quest? I feel like a putz asking.

There's a special map you can access anytime via the world map.

You need to progress a bit in the single player story to unlock it.

You can either explore by going on an expedition, which has no time limit (but it's always the randomly generated Everwood) or you can go on harvest tour quests, which are basically quests for exploring and gathering. There's a harvest tour quest for each area in the game (you'll gain access to them as you progress). After 2 minutes a Pawprint Pass is placed in the supply box. When you want to end the quest, just go take the Pawprint pass from the ble box and deliver it to the red box.

I'm going to try upgrading my armor before tackling those special LoZ quests. Those monsters really hit hard!

Haven't played in a while, how do you get the Link stuff? might try to get stuff myself but I guess if anyone wanted to play later we can, only HR 2 though.

I won't even attempt any of the DLC until I have a set of high rank armor and get the damn monster broth I need to upgrade my weapon

Seriously? Wikia says it doesn't have any requirements to unlock, and I just got it easily. Did you do all of the boring quests? Talked to everyone in the villages?

I've talked to everyone but no I haven't taken the time to actually do everyone's quests. That's a lot of quests.

I've found it! The entry level high tank armor I need to survive! Velocidromes.

And now I've got full Velocidrome armor. This has about double my previous defense so I should be good to go until I get some better armor.

Anyone up for some HR4 hunts?

Is it just me or is the internet really messed up right now? Couldn't even get on this site (or Capcom's forums) for like, an hour or something.
