I guess Mario Kart 7 kinda like the NSMB games? No matter how much they annoy me after a while, they can be really fun and local multiplayer is a blast.
But yeah it was a huge dissappointment. I think calling it a bad game is a bit silly and overreacting though. A pointless game even by the standards of a silly karting game with mushrooms and koopa shells though? Yep. And really, what was with the gliding? Did anyone care about gliding when it was done 100 times better and with more strategy in Kirby Air Ride? Except for the 5 people that still think Kirby Air Ride isn't good for no real reason?
also what's with people getting mad at a kart racing game probably being better than a Mario Kart title? Nintendo's made racing games around the same time that are better than the Mario Kart releases. Diddy Kong Racing and Air Ride. Crash racing was probably better than 64 too. And any decent kart game is likely better than Super Circuit.
I was totally agreeing with you right before you made the silly statement that Super Circuit was anything less than kartgasmic.
But yeh, Mario Kart, as a series, has been elevated too high - there has always been better kart racers out there (except for Super Mario Kart. That's untouchable): Chocobo Racing, Crash Team Racing.
don't forget Double Dash
Last I checked Double Dash is a Mario Kart game...

Last I checked "Super Mario Kart" is touchable.
Not on the pedestal I've got it on
ok
Good.
But still, how could you not mention Double dash, or even Mario kart Wii D:
Out of the games I own, definitely Pilotwings Resort. Just didn't really like it that much, and only bought it because frankly there was nothing else I really wanted from the first few months of the 3DS apart from Ghost Recon and Street Fighter. Might sell it on Ebay when I can be bothered.
The single reason that I own Super Monkey Ball 3D is because you got 1 game half off with Ocarina of Time 3D and there was just nothing else out. The game is just bland and the minigames are terrible.
Probably Pilotwings for me. I never found it too interesting, and it was too familiar to Sports Resort, as I played through the Island Plane Exploration thing for a while. I never loved the audio either, as it all seemed awfully alike, if not just playing the theme everywhere. Still, I can't say it's a "bad" game, but it was a bit bland and similar. The other day I was looking through the eShop, and found a retail games guide. Turns out there are a few out there I didn't know about, and they would probably getting first in this. I don't find animal caring games very good, not when it's called "Pampered Pets" or something. You get the idea

It's severely outdated, but I guess you can look at it if you want. (?)

1: James Noir's Hollywood Crimes.
Bland story, it's and interesting title. But despite this being all about puzzles, it just wasn't fun for me.
2: Sims 3D.
I played this for a good while. It puts something interesting to the series, but like most 3DS launch titles, it was incomplete.
3: Steel Diver
This game was should have been DSiware according to Iwata asks. So I just don't understand why Iwata would make u's spend $30 extra. But, it does have its fun moments.
4: Skylanders
This game is too short to actually make you want to spend $8 a character. But it does offer some great Platforming levels as well.
5: Need for Speed The Run
Lame Story, lack of community, and NFS is just not for me. I'll stick to Mario Kart.
I don't really regret any of my purchases, although I haven't gotten a huge amount of 3DS games yet. The time where I would buy anything I laid eyes on is long gone.
Out of the games I have (Super Street Fighter 4, Tales of The Abyss, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Mario Kart 7) my least favourite would have to be Super Street Fighter 4......that's mainly because I'm not hugely into the Street Fighter series but it was the best of a bad bunch.
My 3DS retail collection is pretty pitiful at the moment. It's not because I'm picky though. There's plenty of 3DS games coming that I want to get.....it's just there's too much "coming" and not enough "came". :/
The only 3DS game I really wish I hadn't bought is Rayman 3D. It's very glitchy and slow. It's pretty pathetic when you compare it with the 1999 PC version. :/
Please correct me if I write something weird: English is not my native language. ;)
