I apologise if this is one in a long line of "new 3DS" threads, I did look through and didn't see one that dealt with my issues.
I've been saving up money to buy a 3DS and was all ready to pull the trigger when I remembered that they had announced the "New 3DS". I've been looking in to importing the item from Australia to the UK and have found some places that do it for great prices. I have my concerns though, I've been told that they are both PAL regions so the games would work, is this guaranteed? At present I'm largely buying it for Pokemon, Mario and Zelda. In addition to the games, is there anything else I should be worried about? Would firmware and software updates work fine, would I be ok accessing the e-shop? I assume there would be no region-locking that would affect this.
Finally, what would the situation be with manufacturers warranty? If my new 3DS were to suffer a technical fault am I able to contact Nintendo UK regarding it despite the product not technically being for sale in the country yet? I mean, there must be no reason why I couldn't have bought it over in Australia while on holiday (as an excuse).
If anyone's able to alleviate any of these concerns that would be fantastic.
Thanks
all firmware and software updates will be fine also.
cant see why nintendo UK wouldnt fix any broken machine. I have pre-ordered an Australian new 3DS and I am planning to do a system transfer from my UK 3DS.
