Ok in no reality is Shadow Wars an RPG. That's like calling Assassin's Creed Brotherhood an RPG for the one portion of the game where your assassin recruits take on missions and level up.
Regardless though, I'd wait a year before deciding. The system's not gonna get much in terms of western RPGs of any kind so we just have to hope region-locking (ARGH WHY) doesn't get in the way.
Sticker Star is in no way an RPG. It's not even a JRPG or Action RPG anymore with the way they've gone about it, removing exp and stuff. I'd be tempted to classify it as a Turn-Based Adventure Game if I had to; I really hadn't thought hard about it before.

But isn't it the same genré as Fire Emblem (just with guns & missles, instead of swords & magic)?
@Harmo Knight, has there been a western release conformation? I don't believe I've heard about one.

Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

I thought you were the one saying Square confeirmed it? Wasn't it called "the bravest" or something?

They trademarked the name "All The Bravest", as well as some related domain names. It is only rumored that it might have something to do with a western release of BD:FF. It could also be something unrelated.
Until SE officially speaks on the matter, it's all speculation.
I've removed Shadow Wars from the list (Apparently, it's not as much like FE as I had thought, though).
I'm just excited that there are actually a few RPGs for me to choose from over the next few months!
For Christmas, I'm having to choose between Dream Drop Distance & Sticker Star (leaning heavily towards Dream Drop Distance). Than in February (birthday month), I get to choose between Fire Emblem, & whichever one I don't get for Christmas. I'll also save up & get Crimson Shroud with my own money during that period.
BTW, I'm not asking for recommendations, I'm just stating I'm glad to have choices.

Code of Princess is a 2D brawler but has a good amount of RPG elements.
The 3DS has a decent RPG library for not being 2 years old yet. Mario & Luigi RPG 4 and the next Pokemon are inevitable, Bravely Default and Monster Hunter 4 should get localized, and maybe a TWEWY sequel.
When I think of a respectable line-up of a RPGs, I think of SNES, PS1, PS2, PSP, DS, and PS3. And I guess PC, because PC has absolutely everything.
The 3DS isn't even close. On that list, I see five games that are RPGs that are currently out (Paper Mario 3DS is turn-based action/puzzle/survival game. I guess a genre of its own). So we have two ports (both excellent), two great games with Denpa Men and Kingdom Hearts, and then Heroes of Ruin... Okay, so four games then. And a few on the horizon.
Now, I'm not too worried for the future. RPGs take a while to make, the system has only been out for a year and a half, and Japan already has many more RPGs than us. I feel its also safe to assume we'll be getting Bravely Default. SE generally puts their games out here. The only counter example I can think of is Final Fantasy Type Zero, which is a PSP game that would have released this year, and that probably wouldn't have been very profitable.
Best thread ever
