i don't bother with forging weapons at all, they're so disposable and it's so easy to grind for stuff it's not worth the gold to me. i also don't fight normal battles with anything beyond what I can purchase in a normal shop anytime i please. renaming stuff, sure, but forging stuff, it's not for me :3

That's why I do forge weapons...because gold is so easy to come by with DLC. After beating the main game, my main goal was to make an insane StreetPass Team so I like to give all my units a weapon that has the highest critical rate possible.

I like renaming forged weapons, shame about the letter limit though. I don't forge often but whenever I do, it's to give the weapon a cool-sounding name.

Hey, anyone know the stat limit for units? Lately it's been all like.

Sooo.
Stat limits are reached, as Fish said, then they turn green. These limits are based on the unit and class, and taguels do reach their limit after going through a few classes, same with manaketes, you may have one or two units with Aptitude, they will max out very quickly.
