Hey guys. I bought my 3ds when there was a promotion so I got a download code for luigis mansion. then my 3ds broke and got replaced under warranty. Is there a way I can download the game a second time?

Was it replace by Nintendo's warranty or a store warranty?

If you had Nintendo themselves replace it, just go into "My Downloads" (Or something in that vein) in the e-Shop and re-download it.

Yep you are out of luck if it was replaced by a store warranty. Because Nintendo has accounts tied to the system your previous account is on the broken system you traded to the store. I am sorry but there is no way of you to get it back unless you rebuy the game.

Just a tip when a store offers you a warranty pass on it its nothing but a scam really.

Yup, they weren't exactly telling the truth. All your purchases are unfortunately, tied to hardware.

But hey, on the bright side, you just joined Nintendo Life. You're now officially cool. That's something, 'eh?

Yeah the only ones that can transfer it from a broken system is Nintendo themselves.

How is a store warranty nothing but a scam? The ds was purchased less than a month ago so they just replaced it rather than send it away to get repaired...

Because
1. Nintendo themselves offer a warrenty
2. The problem you have ran into right now.

Yeah you have to send it away for Nintendo to fix it but at least you will have all of your games and such. The store just swaps it out for another system and thats it.

I just picked up an XL from Target today for my son and the guy offered me a warranty and I said no I wont need one.

My suggest is maybe go back to the store and see if you can get your original system back and than send it into Nintendo.
