Topic: Dots on screens?

There are little transparent dots on my top and bottom screen? Is this normal? I got this 3DS 3 days ago

Yes, those are called pixels.

Then why do they stand out more than regular pixels, are they bigger?

Only thing that comes to mind is air bubbles... are you using a screen protector?

You could take a picture and post it here, if you want better advice.

Well I have these little bright tiny pixel on the bottom screen of my 3DS XL that's brighter than the rest. Its hardly noticable but now I have noticed it my eye's keep getting drawn to it.

I don't know how to fix it. I tried turning brightness up & down but u can notice it. A friend told me to massage the screen where it is with a little cloth and water. I don't want to risk upsetting it even more so I haven't tried his advice. I just have to learn to live with it I suppose.

At least it's not as bad as my PS Vita, I have a massive problem with blackspots covering half the screen on that bloody thing. It looks horrible when the screen goes dark, here's a pic:

dunno about your 3DS though. i have some pixelproblems, too, but it is different. hard to describe. i only notice it when the screen goes all white. like on the damn loading screens of mario kart 7, which are brutal bright btw

Are you playing Pac-Man?

It could be a point where you applied severe pressure to the touch screen leaving a dot.
