I'd like to keep updated on new eShop sales in North America, but I'm not sure if they are sporadic or change by the week or what? Do I need to check every day to see what's new, or can I just launch the eShop once a week and see what's newly on sale?
@Gryffin I don't think so? Because game releases don't go live on eshop consistently at any time of day. I think it might be the same for sales. (It wold be nice if they did.) Eshop game releases go live from 1pm-9pm ET/10am-6pm PT(around Seattle WA work day hours). But I think some things still go live outside of normal word day hours. I've only noticed that if you open the Deals tab, normally around 700-800 games are on sale. If there's a big/remakable sale, its usually like 1100-1300+ games on sale.
If anyone knows better, great, but that's been my experience.

Thank you so much for the info. To check, I've been going to the discounted games button in the bottom row, and right in the middle, or the eShop. It seems to be organized by popularity, which is nice. But hopefully I'm not missing much by just checking there.
@Gryffin It's possible @roy130390 could be right. Maybe I shouldn't have been so quick to blab. It may be wrong of me to assume game sales are implemented as haphazardly as game releases.

Games can go on sale any time, but most of them update with the eshop on Thursdays as Roy mentioned. It’s best to keep a hefty wishlist of games you’re interested in purchasing because browsing 1,200 titles in the sale tab can be a pain if you’re looking for something in particular. It’s a slow process, but I still enjoy an occasional browse, just not when I want something in particular. Most games stay on sale for days or weeks, so you shouldn’t miss much if anything if you look on Thursdays.
@Gryffin you should also check out dekudeals.com The site is much easier to browse than the actual eShop and you can create a wish list that sends out email notifications when stuff goes on sale - covers some physical retailers too (mainly just the 'bigger' ones). The site has both saved, and cost, me loads since I started using it - those 'lowest price ever' notifications are hard to resist 😂
EDIT: Just realised this was in the 3DS thread 🤦♂️ - the above doesn't apply to 3DS, only Switch

Ah, crap, this was 3ds eshop!!??☹☹ I saw the red forum theme, assumed it was for Switch. So, in reality, this is all AntDicken's fault! jk Ant.<3 .....Sorry @Gryffin.<3 You don't need to reply to this.

Lol, no worries dude. When I get a switch to play Breathe of the Wild 2, this is great information to have.
