Topic: 2016 Nintendo Directs Discussion - September 1st 3DS Direct Confirmed!

@webhead Me too. Part of me is hoping that the next Direct is actually a "Nintendo Event" where Nintendo will officially announce the NX and its launch window games. And what else is coming in the future.
One can hope.

We haven't had news from Nintendo since E3, so we're really due something around August or September. I hope they do a Spaceworld event in September, like they used to do in the past.
Though, they were boring and announced the Wii U in a direct, without any kind of show...

@Luna_110 I mean yeah I know there isn't really much to talk about regarding 3ds and Wii u to warrant a direct. NX better be getting revealed next month.

I would love to get more news on if the second generation games will be on the 3DS. As Nintendo seems keen on supporting the 3DS still, given what they have said in the past.

Yeah, the NX reveal needs to be sooner, rather than later. Until then, there's nothing to cover in a Direct unless they do an indie-only Direct.

Right now the only real Nintendo news has been the steady reveals for Pokemon Sun/Moon.

I think there's a Direct on the way. There hasn't been a single peep out of Nintendo of Europe or Nintendo UK/Eire this whole morning and early afternoon. It'll probably be on Thursday.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE Today's a bank holiday so the normal weekly info will come tomorrow.

@Grumblevolcano That's no excuse. It's only in the UK. Nintendo of Europe shouldn't come to a standstill over that, and given the UK Brexit vote, it's even less of an excuse.

A 3DS Direct? What does this mean for the NX? Conspiracy Theory Time!!! Why would they keep announcing new games for their portable line if they were replacing their portable line? Therefore the NX is a Home Console, and the world makes sense again lol
