We wouldn't blame Animal Crossing: New Horizons players for being entirely distracted by today's shiny new Wedding Season event, but in case you hadn't noticed, we also have some brand new seasonal items to check out.
Just like the Mother's Day mug that was available throughout May, three new items can now be yours until the end of June. First up are two items celebrating International Children's Day - a Handmade cape for 500 Bells, and a Handmade crown for 300 Bells.
Second is this lovely 'Thank-you Dad mug' to celebrate Father's Day. You can pick it up now for 600 Bells, and just like the items before it, it'll be available until the end of June.
All of these items can be found by heading to the 'Nook Shopping' section of the Terminal in Resident Services and going over to the 'Seasonal' tab. If you're hoping to own absolutely everything the game has to offer, don't let these slip you buy.
How are you getting on with the game? Still loving life on your island? Let us know down below.

I like the idea of monthly items, hopefully they keep adding more to the selection over the years
....but I also don't have a need for more items, my villager is already a hoarder at this point
These leave a little to be desired. Might stick the mug in my cafe though. It'd go well with the DAL mug.
IRL I kinda do really like collecting various theme'd mugs. But in AC they are small and take up a lot of room for how small they are.
If they're not gyroids, then I don't care. >:c
I was hoping for something in celebration of Pride month, but I wasn't exactly holding my breath for it.
Have to agree with Heavyarms55 on this one. They look nice but I wish there was a way to kind of combine smaller furniture like this or put them in cupboards that you can open to see then inside.
That has always been a thing in AC that I wish would get improved actually. A lot of these smaller items just feel like they take up too much space, and a lot of furniture don't really do much aside from maybe animate a little, for dinner when you happen to press the A button on them. How I would love to see furniture in this series get a big feature upgrade so you can actually use them.
Rising the teacup ride, getting into the hot spring, being able to grab a snack from the vending machines for a quid rather than just seeing a snack fall, or even just making it possible to pick up a cup of coffee to lug around and drink from. This last thing was already kind of possible in New Leaf with the Roost but that's still not quite the same. Most things are just decorations in this game and don't really serve a purpose, I'd like to see that change.
.... items look nice though.
@KoopaTheQuick Exactly! Things like that! It would make the items that much better. Think they're waiting on implementing this when the series really needs an upgrade in sales though. Unfortunately. But you never know, maybe we'll see things like this in the next one.
@ImagineerNik Holding your breath? 😂
I feel like Stitches needs that cape and crown. Would look super cute on him!
@ImagineerNik
Mother's Day and Father's Day are celebrated in several different nations. Pride Month is not which is why it is harder to have in the game. It is the same thing for Memorial Day.
@Heavyarms55 How did you get the DAL mug?
Surfboards have also appeared at Nook's Cranny on a separate display mat, just on the left when you enter the shop. I didn't know you could find items in that corner? Has it happened before?
@ImagineerNik I doubt Nintendo would do that, they tend to avoid anything that could be "controversial", even if it isn't a big deal to a lot of people. Besides, I don't see a remote island randomly celebrating pride. They stick to more traditional holidays...and every random Japanese event
@echoplex I noticed that in my shop today as well! I only had a retro fan, but it's weird that this hasn't been mentioned anywhere...
@echoplex I REALLY, REALLY need a couple Surfboards. I’ve named my island “Kokomo” after The Beach Boys. So kind of making my island semi-tropical, and beach themed.
@DWWM You sometimes get DAL items in the mail as a thank you for flying with them. I don't have the mug, but I did get a tshirt and sleeping mask so far.
@DWWM They sent it to me. I assume you get it after flying enough times.
@countzero I have the slippers!
@JSDude1 Kokomo is cool. I went into the clothing store today thinking they would have bathing suits, flowered shirts and leis but nothing like that, though they did have Teeva sandels. They should sell Parrot merchandise - hats and shoulder sitters - for the Jimmy Buffet fans.
@Kimyonaakuma I have the retro fan as well. But I don't see how it's "retro" mine is just a white fan with blue buttons I could buy right now anywhere. If they wanted to call it retro they could have made it brown and metal like our grandparents had.
Found a blue Summer shell this morning
And this is how I found out that Children's Day isn't October 12th and Father's Day isn't the second Sunday of August "internationally". I kiiiind of wish the game would place those according to country if you happen to live in one that doesn't stick to the International version, but who am I kidding, they didn't even bother to translate the game to Portuguese, they'd never do some heavy coding like that
Also: May is known as "Bride's month" so the June wedding event is ALSO weird to me! Damn haha
