Forsaken, they say? Now that's a name I haven't heard in a spell. I recall the N64 port being rather solid given the hardware constraints devs had to work with to translate the PC experience into a worthwhile console outing.
@Profchaos This. I’ve also had fun with Puyo Puyo, Sonic, and Atlus titles lately. Would love to see that momentum last in the long run, especially given how unique and/or daring Sega’s output is compared to what you tend to see from many other big-name publishers.
If their recent finances and successes (e.g. Metaphor, Yakuza, recent Sonic films and entries) are any sign, it’s that Sega has been generally going places with its gaming biz.
I’m fairly optimistic that if they keep the ball rolling via the release of thematically eccentric and/or mechanically daring titles, they may serve as an increasingly major and welcome contrast to the risk aversion seen in much of the industry right now.
Sonic x Shadows Generations on SW2 is one of the best games/remasters I played in recent memory. Between that and other successes such as Yakuza and Metaphor, Sega has been on a roll with the stuff they publish and develop.
Got all three Sega-made launch titles, which I hadn't previously owned.
PPT2S and SXSG are lots of fun, though I wish the AI were less sensitive (i.e. aggressive) whenever I play Tetris/Puyo Puyo well (even with auto difficulty disabled). Few to no complaints about SXSG, barring the usual trial-and-error that comes with navigating levels at high speed.
Still need to try Yakuza 0 out, though that'll have to wait for when I have a bit more free time.
Currently wending my way through Sonic Mania/Superstars and Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S on Switch 2. Excited for Crossworlds and whatever SEGA's cooking for 2025 and beyond.
My guess is that third-party publishers sought an opportunity to make their games accessible to more folks and they found said opportunity in the Switch 2’s launch.
Good to have your product share the spotlight with the latest craze, regardless of how well the former will sell.

Re: Poll: Three Months In, How Would You Rate Switch 2's Library So Far?
Not too shabby, but still needs some beefing up if Nintendo hopes to convert more OG Switch owners.

Re: Best Sonic Games Of All Time
Been having lotsa fun with SXSG, Mania, Origins, and (even) Superstars. Still need to put some (more) time into Frontiers and Colors.

Re: Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S Updated For Switch 2, Here's What's Included
@Sambuc I am similarly enjoying my time with it, even if the AI can become unexpectedly aggressive during rounds.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (28th June)

Glad to see that SEGA/Atlus' Raidou is doing pretty well given its multiple spots on the list.
