@Romulo: Okay, wait just a minute. The game actually had licensing issues? I guess that's why a VC release was hold back from us until now. I want someone to download the game that already has the European version on the Sega Megadrive to see if you notice any differences on the Virtual Console.
This is an nice update for Europeans, at least for the Virtual Console. Looks like NOE learned from there mistakes and give them something they wanted.
I don't think that's the case. The game actually did decent worldwide so far, and that's just European region, so I doubt Capcom is abandoning Wii support. Beside, they had been getting better luck then most third-party developers on the Wii.
I thought it was going to act like an gimmick. Looks like I'm probably wrong. If the game is good, I will so need a Wii Point Card and a Wii MotionPlus preripheal.
This juggernaut of a console never seems to slow down. Of course I'm talking about the Nintendo Wii. Hopefully, with that fantastic holiday, Nintendo will finally take the monetary risk to put licensed games on the Virtual Console.
If this is true, then that is awesome! Prehaps we'll get the NBA Jam games on the Virtual Console? I in particular want the Nintendo 64 version of NBA Hangtime the most, I grew up with that game.
I'm actually surprised by the number of disappointed people today. You obviously should have seen this coming from a mile. We shouldn't be complaining anyway. Now Europe, they have great reasons to complain about Nintendo Download's.
Don't care about WiiWare or DSiWare, but from here, I can tell that we're having another great VC week, even if it's the unfourtunent return of the one-game week, although this is nothing to complain about.
Probably not. Just because a game from an publisher that's not them bombs doesn't mean they're going to abandon the core audience. However, I do understand their fear.
I'm sure it's going to be temporarily if anything.
To be fair, declining price of retro games is actually going to benefit it. However, piracy is still very, very common, especially since we have yet to get Earthbound on the Virtual Console. IF the game is finally release on there, I can guarenteen you that piracy will go down dramatically.
@Stuffgamer1: Sadly, you are right. That game is in such high demands that it lack of VC release has encouraged millions (Even me sadly) to emulate. Nintendo has to get the game on the Virtual Console, not only will it give us what we asked for five years, it will also slash the piracy market in pieces. Not to mention that me and many other people would give up illegal emulation for good.
This is indeed turning out to be one heck of an awesome site. Who wouldn't love this place? One of the few sites that I've been into that does require me having to hear fans bitch and bitch about Nintendo every day. I give this site an 9/10 and will remain here until the end.
I remember the same thing happening to North America during the summertime, and this is just flat-out unforgiveable. Pretty patethic update with the only positive being Dragon's Lair.
Nintendo of Europe, whatever you do, DON'T CANCEL THE VIRTUAL CONSOLE!
I'm predicting this will happen to North America again during the summertime, so we might as well prepare for it.
Got the game and I do say, it's wonderful. Nolgtaslia is rushing back into my memories, plus I finally unlocked all four unlockable characters. Yay, just need that extra stage. Time to get back on that game.
But seriously, it's nice to hear that someone that's making a game not on a Nintendo platform actually inspire it from a classic masterpiece from Nintendo.
Very good update all-around, although I wasn't expecting a one-game week for the Virtual Console. Even then, the Virtual Console had an very good week. And like Rapadash6 said, one-game week will probably be the norm once again in 2010. I knew the two-weeks games on the Virtual Console was for the holiday, proving Stuffgamer1 wrong. But other then that, there is nothing worth complaining about and that complaint was minor and I'll get used to it.
(Watches as a bunch of Virtual Console rabbids balloon and moan over it having one-game week)
@Wolfcoyote: The Virtual Console version will be published by Nintendo. Not just in Japan, but also worldwide. Although it was previously published by Atlus here, Nintendo will be the publisher. So technically, it doesn't count as an third-party title. Still going to be an great game thought.
@Stuffgamer1: We only have fifty-one games to look forward to as of right now. But I do agree, Nintendo 64 needs a lot more support then what it has been getting.
All these are potentially great releases, but with a lack of Namco's title, 2010 looks to be a step down from 2009 for them. 2010 is also where I predict one-game week starts all over for Americans and Europeans.
This totally sucks. Which means I probably won't be able to play this on my birthday.
However, this could also be a good thing. Capcom is striving for an Triple A title and they want to make this as excellent as possible. We could finally get Wii Speak or they could be using this time to get rid of the unafforable fees.
@KeeperBvK: Sometimes, a game takes a long time to be released once they get an rating. By any time, I don't mean just weeks from now, I mean it could happen next Monday, next year, or even be our last game ever for the Virtual Console.
I need to get three Wii Point Cards now. That way, I can download Super Smash Bros., Indiana Jones' Greatest Adventures, Street Fighter Alpha 2, send a gift to a Wii friend, leaving me with 2,600 Wii Points. Then I'll get Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (2,100), get Blaster Master (1,600), pick another title to download, and with 800 Wii Points, wait for Sonic & Knuckles. It's the perfect plan!
About time. But why did Konami said translation wasn't allowed when Nintendo shamelessly translated the menu screen of Sin & Punishment for the North American and European version?
I was right. This is the Neo Geo CD version, so this cost 1,000 Wii Points. Here, it will be 1,100 Wii Points, since it was never released here. But the point is that I'm glad to see this gigantic game coming to the Virtual Console. Look forward to trying it.
@pixelman: We're basically doing that because it's impossible to use Europe as an region here, only subconsciously. @Terranigma: Let's hope so. That would alone make this an forgiveable update.
I cannot say that this is right. Normally I tell you that you should be glad that you get games weekly now, but this is just unacceptable. Everyone here might as well boycott everything from this week.
This is an very good update, especially for DSiWare. Virtual Console is pleasant too. Now it's time for me to get me some Wii Point Card.
But of course, I have to watch the PC Engine version of Street Fighter II: Champion Edition for an hour as I promised since Pilotwings hasn't come out yet.
@Rapadash6: If the game doesn't come this week, they probably delayed it.
@bboy2970: Be glad we got the game at all. They could have said "You're not getting it" to us and that would be it. Also, Super Mario Kart is not an milestone game and neither will be Pilotwings.
Sorry for double posting and all, but it looks like Nintendo Life has finally put this in the right place. Now you people can stop complaining about the game being in the wrong section. But isn't it weird that it has an ESRB rating still? Some people call it an mistake, I'm not sure if that's true or not. We'll have to find out.
However, I'm still treating this as an Virtual Console page.
This sounds like a very good game to play. Let's hope if the game ever makes an apperance that we get this version and not the obviously inferior Sega Genesis version.
Just kidding. It's really suprising to hear that this game was specificlly made for the Western gamers and it's nice to see that. And an unconfirmed report that the online is free means that I will buy the game, regardless of reviews, ESRB rating, or other games that comes out before my birthday.

Screw that, EA Sports needs to give Wii owners a real football game.
Re: Nintendo Silence Talking Link
I personally thought it was excellent for an fan-made movie. It's a shame that Nintendo had to take it down.

Re: Castlevania: Rondo of Blood Getting Long Overdue Western Release

Re: Castlevania: Rondo of Blood
Thanks to an OFLC rating, we should expect the game at any time. And to think that some people thought we would never see this game.
I'm expecting this to be one of our very few TurboGrafx-16 titles next year.
