@Haxonberik It is an issue of representation. If we assume that at least 10% of people are gay or queer in some way. Then that percentage should correspond to the characters we see in games. So even if it is "causing controversy too forcedly", it is also about correcting heterosexist or heteronormative representation in the video games industry. But I suppose some people don't care about human diversity and the politics of representation. Perhaps my point is nullified by the profit-orientated nature of the gaming industry. It is all about selling a product, not about changing the world...

You say you don't mind the option as long as "they dont force [you] to use a gay character." I'm curious...What exactly would happen if you play as a gay character? Ever played a game as a female character? Or have you played a game as someone from the different culture. Games are fictional narratives. And the best fiction provide you with new perspectives...

419 euros is R4800 or R4900 ....so that European price matches the South African price...

Playing ZombiU and Trine 2 this weekend

I'm South African and I bought a ZombiU bundle for R2999 ($330) last week at Btgames. The original price was R4800 or $530. Which was just ridiculous.
So that's a $200 price reduction!

AWESOME news. I thought it would be some mundane news about the DS versions or mystery dungeon. But my freakin hell...finally the next gen pokemon games are on the table. I love the art style. Nice pokemon feel to it. Grrrreat grreat day! This is why I have my 3ds. okay...fanboy fit over.

Amazing figures. Makes me think back at the sales figures of the Gamecube and smile.

I was excited for Wii U, but Nintendo South Africa just released the official price of the console here. And the basic pack (R3999) is 50 euros more than the european price. The premium pack seems to be 70 euros more than the European price.

I upgraded from my Zelda 3ds (sold it to a friend), and I have no regrets. On my first 3ds I had the occasional ghosting problem (with high contrast scenes), however, I’ve played some Zelda, Kid Icarus, Super Mario 3d land and it seems the 3d effect works much more effectively. I haven’t experienced the same degree of ghosting in the spots I use to…In some places it’s gone completely and in some places it’s just barely noticeable.
However, I feel that the matte finish is much more prone to scratches. So will have to be even more careful…
Buttons do feel more clickable.
And Gameboy virtual console games look great in 1:1 pixel mode.
I love my red 3ds xl.

Thanks to the info above, my transfer worked perfectly! Now to find some screen proctectors and get back to Kid Icarus...
