I was wondering if the 3D effect was more like Harvest Moon A New Beginning, or like Two Towns. I liked the effect in New Beginning, and thought it was terrible in Two Towns. It may sound weird, but that's a deal breaker for me. Even though the reviewer mentioned he didn't care for the 3D, I"m not sure if that would be the case for me. Because if it's like New Beginning, I'm good. But, there seems to be no way to test that without just buying the game. Even the preview on the E-shop does not display in 3d. Can Ron or anyone let me know? Thanks!
@ryanator008 Yeah it bothers me when they don't put any effort into the 3d. I was hoping the games would look like the Nintendo 3d classics..Kirby, Excitebike, etc.
@ryanator008 This person was asking if they use stereoscopic 3D in this game. Some 3ds games actually use 3d, others don't. Super Mario 3d land is heavily based on the use of 3d. Pokemon for the 3ds only uses 3d half the time, and One Piece Unlimited World Red for example uses no 3d. The answer to this persons question is no actually. It's been confirmed by another site that this game uses no 3d, not even in the menus. Audreypots' question had an actual purpose. Your answer did not.
@Barbiegurl777 Is Scooby Doo 3ds actually okay and not just shovelware? I remember a time when there were plenty of simple, yet fun platformers on the DS. Garfield's Nightmare comes to mind. Great game. I always hope that that will be the case for 3ds games like this too, but usually I end up disappointed.
The first planes game on 3ds actually wasn't terrible. It definitely did not meet the low bar of "shovelware." It was too easy, and a bit boring at times, but it was worth one play through. I hope this one is at least as good, then I might check it out. (hopefully better). Something like a sequel to Pilotwings would be fantastic, but I'll take what I can get.
I would buy every Sega 3d classic game that came out if they would just release more. If they released a hundred of these, I would probably buy 99 of them. Just because the 3d effect isn't "cool" or "new" anymore doesn't mean I love it any less. I wish these games would get more love. I love the Sega classics, and I love the 3d.
Things can always get worse before they get better. Maybe this one will go for a zero. And thank you Nintendo Life for reviewing the last one. I have nothing but respect for sites that review bad games. It needs to be done. If bad games weren't reviewed, then whats the point of reviewing games in the first place? Reviews of bad games are also the most entertaining.
I'm really glad they made a nice use of the stereoscopic 3d. I may be in the minority who still enjoys the 3d. Even though 3d isn't "cool" like it used to be, I still happen to like it regardless, and I appreciate that the developers still took the time to cater to that audience. I'm buying this as soon as I get home.
@Stratostar It most certainly is news. I had not heard of this guy until I read this article. Now I am a happier person today because I discovered this amazing talent, and I can listen to him at work. If an article that informs me of something that I previously had no knowledge of, enriches my life in some way, isn't that "newsworthy"? If it's not, I don't know what is.
