Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is getting major 'Year Two' updates soon and in a new trailer today, Sega has revealed the legendary Umbra Witch Bayonetta will be bringing her signature style and grace to the racetrack.

The Bayonetta x Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds free update is "coming soon" and will contain the following items:

  • Bayonetta as a playable character
  • The Butterfly Witch machine
  • Special emotes and sounds

In the latest trailer, Sega has also given fans another look at the Godzilla and Evangelion Packs (including some new racers):

More details about this content will be revealed during the World Championship Finals and Year Two Showcase livestream taking place on 9th October 2026. It will be live-streamed on Twitch and YouTube.

This latest character announcement follows the free release of the character Amigo from Samba De Amigo last week.
