Metaphor: ReFantazio appeared on the Gamescom Switch 2 show floor last month, but for those who weren't lucky enough to attend, you may still be wondering how Atlus' 2024 fantasy RPG holds up on our beloved little hybrid.

Enter today's new 'pre-order trailer'. Atlas has dropped a brand new look at the game on Switch 2 and it looks... roughly how we'd expect. There's a certain smeariness to the static 3D assets that look like they may be a little distracting, though the performance seems to be holding up well enough and the outlined art style is rather forgiving.

The game is now available to pre-order digitally on the Switch eShop for $39.99, with the 'Atlus 35th Digital Anniversary Edition' (which bundles in a boatload of bonus content) up for $69.99. It's a solid price for the base game, which, in true Atlus form, will easily gobble up days of playtime.

Our friends over at Push Square had a great time with this one when it launched on PS5 back in 2024, calling it "one of the most memorable RPGs we've played in years" in their 9/10 review. Let's hope things hold up for the Switch 2 version, when it launches on 12th November.
