Had I not just dropped on the eShop discount because I had no idea this was coming…

I really want to get into this game especially since it's getting a proper physical release on Switch 2. I just wonder how much i'll be missing out on due to the censorship that remains even after the patches. How much of the game remains censored now? is it a big percentage of the game I'd be missing out on? i get that it's apparently Nintendo's own guidelines at fault and not necessarily the dev's but still, it's annoying that we can't get the same experience as everyone else.

Unless it’s uncensored, I’ll stick with the PS5 version, sadly.

@RudyC3 Nintendo has just totally lost it and is outright hypocritical at this point.

The Switch eShop is literally swamped with racy games with no censorship whatsoever, but somehow this game (and previous other western games) are forced to have permanent censorship, instead of a toggle like on other platforms.

@RudyC3 I think at this point it has been basically confirmed that it was an internal decision (to avoid making two different versions for the Japanese market and everywhere else) rather than Nintendo's requirements (I could be wrong but that was about where I left the argument).

As to your question though, you're not "missing" anything per se, it's just being presented in a more Mother Goose style. I think it is only the make full frontal nudity that is now still completely censored and some of the sounds during the s3x scene. I think a lot of people want to label those who complained about this as just being thirsty for pixel bewbs and the like but the real issues are more 1) being told that you apparently can't see things that are freely available in another version or decide for yourself what is appropriate, 2) the forced coverings (some reduced now I think) are distracting and disruptive during cutscenes and gameplay, 3) there was a lot of apparent dishonesty and obfuscation about this around launch time.

At the end of the day this is an adults only game and a lot of what has been censored is not as bad, subjectively, as many other things not censored in the game. It was also bizarrely inconsistent with some things that seemed to have simply been missed.

I'm really liking that design but I would get this game on another platform. The censorship is on Switch 2 is a joke

Played the game back when the Switch 2 version came out. Other than blurring middle fingers really didn't mind the censorship (especially given even with it the naked guy was aggressively not funny) but really didn't care for the game itself very much.

@Jeronan It has far more to do with Japan laws and saving money on publishing than Nintendo. When the game first released on consoles like PS5, it was uncensored, but only available outside of Japan. When it finally released in Japan, it was censored. That's the version Switch 2 got globally. 2 separate versions on PS5, but only 1 on Switch 2. They did this to save money. Had it never released in Japan, they wouldn't have had to hold off on censoring ANY version.
