i collect Crash merch, and looking back at the early PS1 stuff, they progressively gave him a more moronic cretin look that is just too much at this point. like, dial it down a bit, we know Crash is kinda like that, always was, but it is just ott at this point.
Yup. When I think Nintendo, Crash Bandicoot is always the first thing that comes to mind.
@Lordplops Counting the remakes and the originals as one thing, there are more Crash Bandicoot games on Nintendo hardware than on Sony hardware.
@Lordplops I mean in all fairness there whole collection on top of the racer is on the switch, and many more on other consoles.
My heart dropped and I thought they were making another crash racer, dang!
One of the worst visually designed videogame mascots ever, imho. But at least they captured the action of a race here.
Oh. Yay. Another statue I want but can't afford.
my eyes hurt now
@Lordplops Does it make me old in saying I think the same when I see stuff about Sonic.
Looks great but can't justify that price. I love the cheaper statues they make and have bought a few of them. They look great on display in the games room.
I really hated Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled:
1. Activision more or less force you to buy the game from day one, so that you have an easier chance to get all the bonus content such as characters, skins, vehicle parts, paint jobs, etc. When the Grand Prix finished, and you buy the gamer later, you really have to grind horribly to get enough coins for just one item.
2. They also force you to go online, where you have better chances to get more coins, because if you just grind offline for coins, you will spend hours for just one item in the pit stop. Also, they never fixed the online issues. Until the last Grand Prix came, everything was glitchy and buggy, and they constantly threw you out of a match.
3. Activision also brought in microtransactions. But… the highest price for coins can you only let you buy maybe 8 items at best.
4. The game was absolutely broke and full of glitches when it came out. They fixed most of the stuff later, sure, but they never bother to fix the online issues. Probably to get the people to buy the microtransactions.
That game felt more like homework. I will never buy another game from Activision again. I want to have fun with a game and not grind for in-game currency just to make sure I get everything in time.
I've never been a fan of the Crash series, and this is waaaay too expensive; but dang that is a cool statue.
@RareFan Agree completely, i was late to the game and got it in a sale, glad i did as its not a patch on Mario Kart 8.
I still wish this game got more updates after they were done with the online stuff...
There's stuff you can't get anymore, the online requirement for the store and golden wumpas is dumb, the prices for stuff are way too high and the golden wumpas you earn are way too low. The loading times are still atrocious... I've only played in split-screen once, the frame-rate was really bad and after a few races the game crashed...
