When Chicory: A Colorful Tale came out on June 10th this year, it quickly garnered a lot of attention and accolades for its story, its art, and its music. You play as Pizza (or, well, whatever your favourite food is — that's the main character's name) who gains control of a magical paintbrush in a world that's lost all its colour.

Sounds cute, right? Well, it's deceptively cute. The story deals with much darker themes of imposter syndrome, anxiety, and self doubt, while providing players with a simple-yet-engaging mechanic of painting the black-and-white world around you.

And now, finally, it's coming to the Nintendo Switch!

Developed by Wandersong creator Greg Lobanov, with art by Alexis Dean-Jones and Madeline Berger, sound design by Em Halberstadt (Night In The Woods, Ikenfell, Untitled Goose Game) and charmingly-Zelda-esque music by Celeste and Minecraft composer Lena Raine, Chicory: A Colorful Tale is basically a who's who of indie games.

The game is live on the Nintendo Switch eShop now, with a price tag of $19.99.
