Three words: Strategy. Turn-Based. Roguelike. If those terms send shivers down your spine, then check out the launch trailer for Ruin Raiders, which is all three of those things.
Describing itself as an "XCOM Roguelike", Ruin Raiders is a tactical isometric game about guiding troops on a mission to explore the depths of an ancient, ruined civilisation. Think XCOM meets Diablo meets Spelunky, and you're at least half of the way there.
With over 100 items, procedurally generated rooms, tactical combat and a crafting/upgrading system, it looks like there's plenty to get involved with, and plenty to keep you playing.
Ruin Raiders is out right now on the Nintendo Switch eShop, with a launch discount bringing the cost down to $15.99/ €16.79.

it looks good, but is it good?
I still need to finish Mario + Rabbids but otherwise that's my jam.
This game has piqued my interest. Will NL be reviewing it?
Sounds great! Let's hope that it is great!
@XBontendo The only thing i've found is ten reviews on steam which 9 are positive. So that's good.
I am once again mocked by the lack of Tomb Raider on Switch 😞
@XBontendo it sure does look good
but is it surely good?
After I finish replaying Dread, after I decide to ditch all the side quests and finish Skyrim, then maybe. I’ve had my eye on this one for a bit.
This is very appealing to me
Not available in real money then?
Is it free to download in the UK or is it not recommended for us?
