For months now, the Nintendo Switch and a number of select titles have been selling out. It should be no surprise then to hear the company's share price has achieved a "52 week high" according to Niko Partners senior analyst, Daniel Ahmad.
As noted, strong demand for the Switch and the lifestyle simulation Animal Crossing: New Horizons are two key factors:
Although the coronavirus pandemic has resulted in stock shortages around the globe, Nintendo has still been able to distribute enough consoles and games to bank some serious cash. The standard model Switch has been selling out everywhere, and its exercise game Ring Fit Adventure has become increasingly popular since its arrival last October.
What Nintendo products did you buy in the month of March? Let us know down below.

Looking good Nintendo, so proud. Now we can afford to develop a new Kirby and Kid Icarus game. Kirby shootem up please. You can't tease us with Star Allies and get away with it.
Kirby Air Ride 2 when.
Shouldn't this be a 2-year high given that the last time the stock was this high was March 2018?
@mesome713
How about graduating Kirby to a full-fledged 3D adventure? Let's throw in Kirby Air Ride mechanics, some planet-hopping, directed by Sakurai, with a bit of help from Monolithsoft with world-crafting, and you've got yourself another premiere Switch IP.
@Ulysses That would be hard. Kirby eats people, and 3D would make his cool eating power boring. Star Allies on the final boss would be an amazing new mode to build a new game with.
@Ulysses
Funny that you would assume Sakurai will develop anything outside of Smash Bros...
@westman98
Not assume, just hopelessly dream. I desperately wish he would make literally any kind of game after Smash Bros.
@mesome713
If anyone can find a way to make it interesting, it's Sakurai. This is why a 3D Kirby probably will never be made unless it's in the right hands.
@westman98 After he releases Rex on Smash well release him from his cage.
@Ulysses Very true.
I’m disappointed that ‘stalk’ wasn’t used in place of ‘stock’
And yet turnips are at an all time low on Eventide. Seriously, I have three thousand turnips I need to unload and they haven’t even been above the price I payed this week.
@ShadJV Tell me about it. It's Friday morning waiting anxiously for the shop to open praying for the turnips prices to be good. I think i will need therapy in the future.......
@arpaktiko last week ruined me. I turned 1 million bells into 4.5 million bells with turnips. I forgot this stuff can backfire hard. At this rate I should consider eating them instead of coconuts or my native fruit, as they’re worth much less...
I still need to buy AC, not in a hurry, there will be many 2nd copies available soon.
Pfff, you call this stock value? Imagine the rise in stock if a new F-Zero would finally come out...
Nice that some companies actually are still doing well on real merit, rather than governments just printing out money to give them while they lay off half their employees and pay shareholders and executives fat bonuses.
Hopefully Nintendo can find a safe way to meet the demand, without endangering their employees.
I keep seeing people saying we need to get the economy going ASAP. And I agree. But I ask, how many people are we willing to let die in order to do that? And no one has the guts to answer that question.
All that demand is going to dry up if the virus continues to get worse.
@ShadJV,
I bought 3.5 million bells worth at 90 bells, all week the price was around 50 ish, then on the Friday 358 bells, what a relief that was.
That is excellent news! Looks like AC was just the killer app that the Switch needed right now.
@ShadJV I just use https://turnip.exchange/islands
Click on 5-7 posts, wait 30-40 mins, and you'll be able to turn in your turnips for a large return. I currently have 35mil bells in the ATM from 2 weeks of turnips selling by using this method.
@FlameRunnerFast why bother? It’s easy enough to get more bells than you need with a few friends.
@FlameRunnerFast plus at that point you may as well just time travel, takes less time. I find the amount you can make with a few friends is more than adequate though. No point in trying to game the system.
