It was always only going to be a matter of time before a new splattering of official Pokémon Sword and Shield merch arrived on the scene and these new designs are amongst the coolest bits of Pokémon gear we've ever seen.
That's right, sport-style jerseys of the new games' starter Pokémon - Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble - are all set to become available on the official Pokémon Center website. The designs were spotted and shared online by Pokéshopper, but the links to each product have since been taken down. Looks like these were all found slightly ahead of the intended time.
While these jerseys are the pick of the bunch in our eyes - fitting perfectly with the sports theme running throughout the new games - it looks like there'll be plenty of other cool stuff to get your grubby mitts on, too like backpacks, pins, and more.
We'd expect these merch items to appear on the store (for real, this time) over the next few weeks. We'll make sure to update this article if and when they do go live.
The Pokémon Center sadly only ships to Continental U.S., Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, so we're desperately hoping all of these lovely goodies will arrive in the pop-up Pokémon Center coming to London later this month. That Sobble jersey must be ours!
Liking the look of these? Which items are you hoping to pick up? Let us know in the comments below.

Oh they would be mad if they aren't selling these in the pop-up shop in London. They're footie shirts! They have to sell them in footie's homeland!
I’m on Team Sobble. Who else?
Have they made Sobble even sadder? Look at that poor little guy. I would follow him to hell and back I would.
Okay, these are some of the coolest merch I've seen in a long time.
Oh, tempted.
I like Grookey.
I would be enthusiastic about these shirts if it weren't for the creeping feeling that Game Freak are trying too hard to bolster fan support for the new generation.
A really good game is all thats needed.
Im keeping hopeful, but this, current fan concerns and the news 1000 employees have worked on sword and shield so far doesnt give me hope.
@stuartc
The games are looking great and these are probably the only jerseys I would actually buy. Don't mistake the loud minority on the internet whining about the national dex for the general consensus on Sword and Shield. These games are going to sell extremely well and most people are going to really enjoy them.
@Spudtendo i dont personally care about the reduced dex (providing no decent ones have been left off).
I think i might get sword but depends on the exclusive difference.
A company that gets too comfortable is a company that doesnt put in 100% anymore. thats my main concern.
@stuartc
I agree with you, but Sword and Shield isn't the first generation where people thought Game Freak were getting too comfortable. Pokemon in general is a comfortable franchise. It's just something to expect as a fan by this point, and that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Just look at Dragon Quest. Probably the most comfortable, traditional game series ever yet that doesn't detract from these quality of the games or the excitement of the series' fanbase. I'm not against a big shake up of Pokemon's gameplay, but only if the change makes the series better and Pokemon is already established as a JRPG series with very good tried-and-true gameplay.
As good as I think Game Freak is as a development studio, they aren't on the same level as the Zelda guys at Nintendo. Breath of the Wild was a huge shake up from the traditional Zelda blueprint we were all used to, and it was a massive success that made the Zelda franchise more relevant than it had been in years. I just don't think Game Freak can pull that off, especially because Pokemon as a brand is as strong as ever. So I'm okay with them being comfortable in this case. Pokemon just works. Why mess up a good thing?
@Spudtendo You're right that this isn't the first generation. You do make a good example of a similar genre of games that using the same formula throughout its franchise. Though I would argue that its the quality of the games that keeps the fanbase excited. The overarching story is generally the same and most of the gameplay is to be expected- thats why alot of people buy it into. Its what they like.
The only difference is that I dont think I have ever played a dragon quest game and thought 'Oh, this looks and feels lazy'.
@SpicyBurrito16 I'm the goalkeeper of the team.
@stuartc
I just don't agree that SnS looks lazy. The art style is nice and colorful, the Galar region looks really cool with a lot of variety in environments, the new Pokemon designs are good and the new features look like a lot of fun. Pokemon games have such short development time, so it's impressive that Game Freak can put out lengthy JRPGs and new worlds in that time.
I know what I want for Christmas now.
These look awesomely awesome!!!
Sobble all the way
Ironic headline considering the game not having "em all"
Soooo... Selling exclusively to US and surrounding areas despite them being Football shirts? This would be considered soccer, there and is far less popular.
Also, without Scorbunny's image, this particular shirt would be considered some what of a lewd boasting fashion piece... xD
@Spudtendo "loud minority"
Keep telling yourself that lie, delusional person.
@Aquamine-Amarine
Want to bet that Sword and Shield are going to be in the top three fastest selling Switch games of all time? I have a feeling you won't be commenting on that inevitable Nintendo Life article.
Taking Team Scorbunny, Team Sobble, and Team Grookey to a whole new level. The new merch looks nice.
im on team Sirfetched.
@Spudtendo The problem with you is, you're completely delusional.
