Sad how the only official Dragon Ball Super movie is one of the best dragon ball movies out there...while super as a show is absolute garbage
@PBandSmelly Calm yourself. At least post "I personally feel that super as a show is absolute garbage". It wasn't nearly on the level of Z, but I quite enjoyed it. Learn to make less emotionally charged statements on subjective matters. Have an awesome day.
@PBandSmelly Eh, it was alright. Super was more on the level of OG dragon Ball for most of it. I actual really liked the last two arcs. Everything else, yeah, kinda whatever
Okay, so without being a fanboy of the series, this seems like a really dodgy business model. In Australia the base version of this game never goes cheap and the additional season passed are in the realm of $50-$70 each.
That effectively makes this a $150-$200 game if you want the "complete" version of it.
Why is this acceptable?
@Wavey84 Hm yeah, sure. It's a cartoon - the pacing and writing were more enjoyable in Z. Obviously Super did well, so that necessitates there being a large group of people who think contrary to your view. I don't seem to have indicated myself as being offended - happy to chat there bud, lmao.
@Coach_A I've been able to get pretty much everything on sale for about the cost of the normal full game.
@Coach_A I mean, the base game and first season pass have been perpetually on sale for like, 60-80% off since they announced the second season pass in most countries, Australia is just getting screwed over.
@Coach_A it's the way the game industry has been operating the past few years. Get the game out the door then charge for DLC. I've noticed a lot of developers get around 2-3x as much as the initial investment once DLC is added. As a result, I typically don't buy games at launch anticipating future DLC purchases unless the game is just that good or I don't anticipate a sale in the near future (i.e.: Daemon X Machina and Luigi's Mansion 3).
@Wilforce I know about DLC and stuff, and maybe it's just because I'm not really a fighting game fan, but charging that much extra for extra characters seems too much
This Broly is cool...not as cool the OG but I'm glad we got to see a different incarnation with that movie. Haven't seen super myself, the whole animation debacle put me off for now.
I don't really see a match from the movie broly the Super version... I don't know... it's more from the original movie to me
While I like the new Broly movie, I'm just not a fan of this new Broly. Looks too emo to me, the original non-canon version seems more badass, hopefully they at least have a skin of him as DLC in the game. It's like when I first saw Future Trunks in DBZ and then we finally see the real Trunks grew up to kinda be like that in late DBZ and Dragon Ball GT. It looks almost the same but really isn't.
@retro_player_22 the original Broly was in the first season of DLC, so now we have both.
@PBandSmelly Personally I quite liked Super, there were some really low points, but overall I enjoyed it.
Maybe you should give the Manga version of Super a whirl? There are loads of story differences between the Anime, some for the better! Eg, Goku is capable of using God of Destruction energy, Gohan beats Kefla amongst other things.
Oh, and the Manga continues beyond the TOP. The current arc is very interesting, I'd go to say that it's villain is one of the best in the entire franchise!
Broly movie aside, I’m just sad the online lobby in this game seems to have died.(uk)
Artistically the game looks awesome with glorious visual animation and most importantly plays well imo. The only nitpick i have is that the menu UI is a tad confusing, oh and the constant server checking-in screens.
I never really followed the dragon ball series but i assumed it had enough of a bigger following for more fans to spill over to the switch version of DBFZ.
I just don’t have as much fun playing against the cpu.
I wonder what Broly's voice will sound like?
With the whole Vic Mignogna (BS) fiasco i doubt they would call him in to record Broly's voice again for this game which is unfortunate... Unless Namco-Bandai themselves request him and not actually depend on FUNimation for that decision.
boring same fighter just in the dbs.
@Outspoken Change lobby to the US, I think it was the East Coast one. Very active and I always find a match!
@Wavey84 Keep making yourself look like an over emotional child...did you read your own post? Your post was wayyyy more emotionally charged and made you come off as weak bud. They weren’t offended and just pointed out that not every one has the same opinion as you. You are way too emotional over a cartoon and should rethink your life choices. Also, is a Nintendo fan site really a place to argue over cartoons?
@Wavey84 unbiased observer says you seemed more offended than the other guy.
@Wavey84 you are right, insinuating someone is whiney and weak is definitely what someone who is unoffended does.
