Nintendo has provided further details on its upcoming 'Nintendo Live 2019' event, a gaming expo of sorts that celebrates all things - you guessed it... Nintendo.
Initially revealed a couple of months ago, Nintendo Live 2019 will be taking place on 13th - 14th October at the Kyoto International Conference Center. We already knew about some of the tournaments taking place for games like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Splatoon 2, but now we know a little more about other exciting activities attendees will be able to enjoy.
First up, demos for several upcoming games will be available to check out, including Luigi's Mansion 3, Ring Fit Adventure, and the very-recently announced Train Your Brain: Nintendo Switch Training for Adults.
There'll also be some photo opportunities for the more outgoing folk in attendance, including a photo spot dedicated to Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Fans can enjoy a quick talk about the game and a photo op with Tom Nook; anyone who attends the talk will be entered into a lottery to win some themed goodies.
If you live in Japan or happen to be visiting during that time, make sure to head on over and check out the fun. You can find all the info you need on the event's official site.
Thanks to Monkeido for the tip!

{looks up price of ticket to Japan} {cries}
Would be really cool if we can download the demos sometime later (but hopefully before the release) with some platinum points.
I want to know what the Amiibo functions are if anything.
You're welcome. ^^ I obviously can't wait to see some more Animal Crossing!
Yeah, that's all good... but are any NEW reveals gonna be at this thing?
Wait...
Is this a new Space World event?
@MarioFan02 it would be nice to see Pikmin 4.
I've enjoyed the somewhat secretive marketing of New Horzions thus far. I feel like they're intentionally holding back a lot of info to surprise fans with later on, which is a nice change of pace to the at times exhaustive coverage other games get where there are no secrets left to discover upon release. We may get an info dump closer to release, but as of now there are a lot of unanswered questions and I love it.
Things that are supposed to be actual games in development we've seen little to nothing of:
Pikmin 4 - nearly complete for 4 years
Bayonetta 3 - pre-ordered Dec 2018 on Amazon where it still has the place holder release date of Dec 31, 2019
Metroid Prime 3 - maybe they are just releasing the logo on t-shirts?
Between Ring Fit Adventure, Mario Kart Tour, Animal Crossing and now Brain Train I'm beginning to lose interest in Nintendo.
@rjejr Pikmin 4 being completed for 4 years is a myth... if you don't have interest in mario kart OR animal crossing.... were you ever really interested in Nintendo to begin with?
Holding out hope for MK8DX, SMO, and SMM2 announcements at least here or at the late October/early November Direct that will end with Terry's arrival date and the reveal of the 5th fighter.
@personauser93 I'm glad someone likes it, cause it's driving me crazy not knowing.
Fire up the engines of the NntendoLife corporate jet and get to Kyoto! TOOT SWEET! (sic)
@Lemonyoshi "were you ever really interested in Nintendo to begin with?"
Um, yes, see 3 games listed above.
"Pikmin 4 being completed for 4 years is a myth"
Well it's the myth that keeps on giving isn't it?
2015 Nintendo confirms it:
https://www.ign.com/articles/2015/09/07/pikmin-4-very-close-to-completion-says-miyamoto
2017 Nintendo re-confirms it:
https://www.ign.com/articles/2017/06/15/e3-2017-pikmin-4-progressing-says-shigeru-miyamoto
Unless you have a link to some article were Shigeur Miyamoto and Nintendo say they have just been trolling us the past 4 years?
I need Animal crossing, I need it now, I feel we have seen virtually nothing of the game so far.
Hopefully, they'll finally reveal Nintendo's next handheld! I badly want the 3DS's successor since Switch Lite isn't it, because Switch Lite is a Switch and according to Wikipedia, Switch is a home console that replaces the failed Wii U- a home console, thus Switch being a home console means Switch Lite is a home console. All in favor of Nintendo 4DS raise your hand! One... two... three... four... five... six... seven- this could go on a while!!
@rjejr a game can be close to completion and still scrapped. Animal Crossing's app was supposedly done, then scrapped by Nintendo, and delayed more than a year to redo everything, so who's to say this didn't get scrapped as well? Look at Super Mario 64 2 that never came out.
@rjejr The Pikmin game they kept referring to ended up being "Hey Pikmin" for 3DS. Came across an interview the other day about this with Miyamoto - thought it was interesting!
@Lemonyoshi Thanks, hadn't seen that. I was saying it everybody day for about 2 years - and taking a lot of heat - but heck now it's been so long since Hey Pikmin released I'd practically forgotten that was even a thing. So. Many. Years. Waiting.
