The well-received action RPG Transistor (from the creators of Bastion) will soon see a Limited Run physical release on the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. From this Friday onwards, you'll finally be able to pre-order either the standard edition or the collector's edition of the game on the hybrid system.
The collector's edition includes Red's ring, a CD soundtrack, reversible poster, Junction Jan's coasters and enamel pins wrapped up in a beautiful-looking premium box. Take a look below:
This Friday at 10am & 6pm ET, Transistor gets a limited Collector's Edition on the PS4 and Nintendo Switch.
And here's a closer look at the box art in the standalone purchase:
Transistor, the critically-acclaimed action RPG from @SupergiantGames, gets a two-week open pre-order for PS4 and Switch starting this Friday at 10 am EDT on http://limitedrungames.com.

I never preorder games because I find it silly, and it’s not as if I won’t be able to find a copy of the game at some of my local stores, but dang, that box art is awesome. I think I might just have to preorder this.
Will be buying like a nervous twitch!
Hmm, this might be an interesting purchase to make.
Never bought any Limited Run titles so far.
Does anyone have any experience with import duties for the standalone games, perhaps?
(I'm in the Netherlands, if that helps)
@Nerdfather1 The majority of the games from Limited Run are not available in shops, and even then you have to live in the US as they only give stock to Best Buy. Therefore the rest of world have no choice in this matter.
@Trellgoth It seems to depend actually! I live in Sweden, and I've never had to pay any import fees for any of LRGs games. They have a list of countries with prepaid customs and both Sweden and the Netherlands are listed there. So you should be good, I think!

@Trellgoth I'm in the UK and I haven't had to pay any import duties. Just about £10 on postage however much that would be for you.
@Nerdfather1
Limited Run Games are made to demand, it's not like typical publishing where the publisher will manufacture a certain amount they expect to sell through at most major retailers.
Your pre-order is the demand that allows the games to be manufactured.
Transistor is probably my favourite indie I might have to get this
@Nooks @SpookyPotato
Thanks on the info. Guessing the shipping will be $18,95 as per site support info.
Would be doable to have this in mind.
Anyone know how long offers like these last? As I will not be able to get this title on Friday, and might have to wait another week for salary to come in
@Trellgoth I pre-ordered freedom planet nearly two weeks ago now and it's still up for pre-order. But I think it's a case of the longer you wait the less chance you have.
Since I already have Transistor digitally, could I buy the collectors edition and just trade in the cart without it's box to like GameStop for some store credit but keep everything else?
@Swimming
That's good to know. I already pre-ordered the collector's edition so I guess I'll keep everything then.
