Pogo jumping onto a Nintendo Switch near you at the end of the month is Human Rocket Person, a 3D, single-player platformer designed to anger your very soul.
Usually, we'd give you a quick summary of what the game's all about here, but the official Nintendo eShop listing puts it better than we ever could:
Human Rocket Person is an absurdly fun platformer where you jump & fly through levels on your trusted pogo stick using rotten apples to fart out rainbows.
Now, that all sounds pretty fun to us, but developer 2nd Studio has other thoughts. Also on the official eShop listing is this note from the development team:
"This game is incredibly hard, due to the intentional awkward controls and the level design. By the end of the game, you will hate us, the developers. It’s one of those games where you die a lot but in a funny way. We put a great effort into making a unique game full of surprises and weird moments. We hope the fun will over weigh the frustration, and that you will be happy that you overcame the struggles of playing it."
If you have a decent level of patience and can see the funny side of dying over and over again, you'll be able to download this one from the eShop for $4.99. It launches on 27th June.
Do you think you have what it takes? Will you be giving it a go later this month? Make sure to bounce on over to our comment section and let us know.

looks silly but kind of fun, would probably pick up in a sale
Seriously, no.
Hahaha good advertising "hate them" because of that I want to clear it😂 looks kinda fun.
Looks like a different approach to Getting Over It, but a similar art style.
Just reminds me of Happy Wheels, and I wouldnt call it 3D as it looks like a platformer with 3D graphics
Games should be for fun, not makes peoples angry. 😒
It's okay. I already hate them
They are basically telling me "don't buy our game"
Challenge accepted
There was a point to Getting Over It, this is just looking to recapture the wider response that game got on social media.
That's enough weed for one lifetime.
At least at 4.99 they aren't ripping the arse out the price point. Could be a laugh with a group of folk especially if you have the friend who identifies as an elite gamer, watching them crack could well be worth the money.
"We made a bad game, but instead of improving it we are trying to use that as a selling point"
@chardir Exactly my thought! Even if a game is very hard but is designed well, you won't hate the devs. You will hate them if the game is bad. And that's not a selling point.
@chardir not quite, this is developed with the same mentality as Resident Evil. Purposefully bad controls to add a sense of anxiety (or in this case plain difficulty) to the game. This is basically a poor man's version of Getting over it with (Benit Faudy?) I forget how you spell his last name and I know I butchered it hard.
@patbacknitro18 I though Resident Evil had great controls. I never felt it to be awkward, even it was a bit unconventional. This kind of control scheme made the most sense for the game they were making.
Here the developers say they intentionally made the controls and level design bad. That's completely different.
Seems to be a console version of games like Getting Over It on the PC. Intentionally frustrating to make you rage quit, but just fun enough to keep you trying to get a little further.
Sounds like the kind of game to play briefly when surrounded by a kid of beers and the desire to gamble “how far can you go!”
I already hate them for making this game
Reminds me of Happy Wheels and getting over it
