I've never heard of any of these games before. I've heard of Portal but not this Portal.
The Black Jack game is actually a pretty funny parody of Street Fighter 2. I bought it the last time it was on a mega sale.
One of these days I’m going to get Slime-san all because I remember Nintendolife hyping it so much... however today is not that day lol
@BacklogBlues Slime San is hands down the best twitch platformer on the Switch, narrowly beating Celeste for me. The sheer amount of content and free DLC is astounding. Boss Rush modes, time attack modes, target mode like Smash Bros Melee, mini games that can be played multiplayer, decorating your home, tonnes of colour palettes, NPC's, high scores... The lot! On top of that the controls are perfect, and some of the mechanics have never been seen in a platformer before, period. Absolute bargain.
Anything worth my money?
After your recommendation @Scottwood101 and a quick internet search for reviews i'm definitely going to pick it up. But i'll have to wait till pay day as i buy my eshop cards $120 at a time for $98.45.
Slime-san has a Metacritic score of 82 and got a 9 here on Nintendolife and is only $6 @Tantani.
@Scottwood101 @gloom
Interesting. I finished Slime-san collecting all the apples and coins, and played some of the DLCs, but it just didn't grab me that much. The whole lore and characters are unique, but it just didn't click with me. I also found that sometimes I wasn't in complete control of my character even towards the end, and the art style became somewhat tedious after a while. I didn't really enjoy some of the level designs either.
I mean it's a fine game, and it does offer quite a lot of content for your money, but I just don't see why so many people think it's amazing. And I really like platformers AND hard games, so that's not it.
Slime san is in my wishlist I really need it now
Getting Bridge Constructor Portal.
Super Blackjack Battle 2 is very cool and a steal at that price
Won’t be buying any of these for now, but I do already have Super Treasure Arena. I think it’s pretty underrated as a local multiplayer game.
Might give the sepia-toned SHMUP Earth Atlantis a try at that price point . . .
It comes as a welcome relief that nothing is dragging me further into back log hell here
@adh56 is it fun? I’ve seen lots of negative reviews but I like black jack and for just over a buck the risk seems worth it..
Everybody do yourself a favor and buy Slime San
Maybe Earth Atlantis. Looks pretty good.
I have putted 5 on wishlist now, so i can google and see how they are.
That "Tied Together" looks very annoying, so it's a easy skip.
If you wanna read user reviews on these games. Go to Steam store and read user reviews.
Nothing for me
@UmbrageHill I enjoyed it but I only played through the arcade/story mode once or twice
Think I'll go with In Between, at that price it feels like you can't lose.
@wazlon I bought 3 of them.In Between, The BlackJack game and Super Treasure Arena.
@wazlon I picked it up before work this morning. I usually grab the super cheap games and try them. You never know when you are going to find a gem hidden among the taddered games.
In Between was a game that got purged from my backlog due to just having bigger, better games on my backlog and me not wanting to pay the asking price. I'm a sucker for existentialism related games, but damn if i can find a review. The 60 puzzles also could be quick, or drull and tedious. At 95c, i can't lose much...
@Ventilator good idea regarding the steam store, most of these don't have reviews here on this site.
I also must chime in to recommend Slime-san, it is a treasure.
I'm really curious about Truberbrook for no good reason. It isn't a genre that even appeals to me but I've been chomping at the bit to see that one come down to half-price since it launched.
I decided to pick up Bridge Constructor Portal. I have been eyeing it for a while, and this deal was pretty solid!
@N64-ROX 95% or more probably have Steam reviews, and is my main site for Switch Indie reviews. Most Switch Indies doesen't have reviews on this site, because there is too many of them.
@MeloMan In Between got great reviews on Steam.
Use Steam for reviews.
@Ventilator Thanks, I found some reviews, watched some gameplay, and yeah, for $ .95 I wouldn't be losing out on anything so I downloaded it.
@zever I pick up super cheap games too to try them. If you don't like the game then you've not lost much so it doesn't really matter.
@Ventilator I was thinking about Super Treasure Arena but it seems more like a multi player game so I didn't bother.
I did buy it for single player at this low price. Looks cool.
