The very first trailer for DreamWorks Dragons Dawn of New Riders - a new video game in the How To Train Your Dragons universe - has been released today. You can check it out for yourself above.
The game introduces a brand new story to the Dragons world, seeing players join the new heroic duo of Scribbler and Patch in a battle to save dragons and defeat a new villain, Eir. They'll clash against fierce enemies, explore new and familiar locations, and interact with some fan-favourite characters throughout the adventure.
KEY FEATURES:
- A NEW, AUTHENTIC ADVENTURE: Help Scribbler recover lost memories and forge a friendship with Patch, his unique hybrid dragon
- EPIC BATTLES: Unlock powerful abilities and take on fearsome foes
- EXPLORE VAST NEW LOCATIONS: Fly to familiar locations, as well as new locations, including Havenholme, Valka's Mountain and Blood Briar Island
- SOLVE PUZZLES: Swap between Scribbler and his dragon Patch to conquer obstacles
The game releases alongside a new film, How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, both of which will be launching early next year. You'll be able to pick up DreamWorks Dragons Dawn of New Riders for your Nintendo Switch from 1st February in Europe and 15th February in North America.

I loved Monster Hunter Stories more because I thought it would have been a great HTTYD game. Maybe MHS2 someday on Switch... A guy can dream.

i like the httyd game for 360, which was all flight. this game looks remarkably short on flying.
Let's be honest, this will probably be a 6.5/10 rating.
