Flyhigh Works, along with developer Noxy Games, have announced that Lanota will be hitting the high notes on Switch next week.
Lanota aims to offer a unique blend of dynamic music rhythm gameplay and storytelling, combining the narrative and soundtrack into one lovely sounding package. Players will be able to perform over 70 tracks on a 360 degree circular field, with the goal being to hit notes all around this 'plate' to feel the beat and follow the musical flow. You can tap, hold and slide the notes to perform and achieve perfect combos.
There are multiple ways to tackle each track. In addition to the game's four difficulty settings, you can choose to ‘Tune’ or ‘Purify’ songs. Purify ends your attempt if you miss too many notes, whereas Tune allows you to continue without that added pressure, allowing players of all skill levels to experience the game in a way ideally suited to them.
In addition to the dynamic circular play areas and varied beats to hit, Lanota offers a distinctive narrative where the world has lost sound and colour. The game's two heroes, Fisica and Ritmo, are tasked with reviving ‘Notalium’ and bringing music back to the world. Check out the game's list of features below.
Features:
- 70+ tracks, including two new songs that are exclusive to the Nintendo Switch
- Utilise the touch screen for precise and dynamic controls
- Varied songs and stage designs, including ‘boss’ tracks
- Four difficulty settings and the choice of ‘Tune’ and ‘Purify’ modes
- Complete the plot for a unique storybook experience
- Plug in some headphones and enjoy a special musical experience
Lanota will be available from the Nintendo Switch eShop on 14th June in North America, and 20th June in Europe, Australia and New Zealand, scheduled to cost $14.99 USD / €14,99.

There seem to be so many rhythm or music based games releasing this month. Gonna be hard to find time to play them all but I'm all for it nonetheless.
I wonder what the soundtrack is like? If it has this tone I might give it a chance.
...that looked really boring compared to Elite Beat Agents, Gitaroo, and Parapa The Rapper, as well as others like Deemo (IIRC) that have already tried to do the whole "Storytelling meets rhythm" thing...because they actually meld the narrative and the rhythm gaming together. I didn't see any story in that trailer, no dymic scenes, nothing that's effected by or goes with the rhythm, simultaneously urging you to do well while keeping you engaged even if you're struggling. It just looks like yet-another rhythm game if the story and gameplay are separate entities...
This does not look fun to me at all... Bring back EBA!
Well hey, first VOEZ, now Lanota can be deleted off my phone to save space. Still'd need to get Deemo, but might go with PS Vita on that, for my trophies kick. But, who'll claim Cytus II...?
At first I thought an other RPG with cute looking graphics.... but I was wrong. NEXT
