Out of all the major gaming platforms available, Nintendo has always been a bit behind in terms of the sales that it runs. The company generally seems to believe in the maintained value of its games well after their launch date passes, and the few sales that it does run generally aren’t all too competitive with the kinds of prices that can be found in the physical games market. Even so, other companies sometimes run solid sales on Nintendo platforms, and Ubisoft has just kicked off one of its own.
Starting today and running until 20th May, several Ubisoft games are running for up to half off, and there’s a few things here that may be tempting to those of you that are looking to widen the backlog even more. The list is as follows:
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle Gold Edition – $50.39 (was $79.99)
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle – $40.19 (was $59.99)
Just Dance 2018 – $34.79 (was $59.99)
Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition – $24.79 (was $39.99)
Monopoly – $19.99 (was $39.99)
UNO – $6.99 (was $9.99)
What do you think? Will you be picking up any of these? What games are still hanging around in your backlog? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

I really want to get Rayman as it was one of the games I skipped on the Wii U. That being said, the sale is NA only and I'm not creating additional account just to buy one game. So, bring the sale to Europe Ubisoft, pretty please.
"The company generally seems to believe in the maintained value of its games well after their launch date passes"
That's a fact, not a belief. Fiction, including interactive Fiction, isn't sour milk to have expiry dates. The reason sales happen is simply because publishers try to give the games more legs and squeeze out more revenue in terms of naturally growing competition on one platform and/or across many (the number of games ro choose from only gets bigger by the week), but when you're reportedly the richest company in your homeland, I suppose you can afford acting on the pride for your games' timelessness.
@AlternateButtons Are the load times still bad? I thought there was a patch to sort that issue out.
I would love it on switch but as I am also a PS+ subscriber I really cannot justify it because its currently 'free'.
I have Rayman on Switch and I've never noticed framerate or loading issues really.
is the dlc for mario + rabbids also on sale though.
I just don’t understand someone who pays these prices for digital games. All of them are cheaper in physical form- and that’s the sale prices! It’s bonkers.
I see Rayman everywhere for $20 here, so that's a no. Might grab Uno tho.
I know it’s a very recent title, but it’s a shame that South Park: The Fractured but Whole hasn’t received a small discount. That would have been enough for me to bite. But recent or not, $59.99 is far too steep for me.
@AlternateButtons There was a patch to fix the long load times. So now it is a better version of the Wii U version
Mario + Rabbids is the only Ubisoft game worth buying and it has been on sale for cheaper before.
Rayman Legends is better on Wii U.
The games I'd want, I already have. But cool nonetheless.
I've played Rayman on Swiitch and not noticed any problems.
I'd like Mario +Rabbids, but I think it'll be cheaper in the future so I'll wait a bit.
They were charging $40 for Monopoly? Even $20 seems overpriced lol.
@AlternateButtons I do believe there was a patch. I've had Rayman Legends on my Switch since launch, and frankly I can't say I've noticed any stutters whatsoever. I can't even recall load times being a particular problem. I say it's well worth the double-dip if you liked it on Wii U; it's quite possibly my favorite 2D platformer ever, so owning it in a portable form factor was a no-brainer for me.
I wish they would actually put the DLC on sale too, Ubisoft never does that and it frankly feels kinda punishing to people who just bought the game to try it, liked it and wanted more. I picked up Watch_Dogs 2 awhile ago and loved it, but the season pass is more than I paid for the game itself. Pretty rough.
Would totally snap up Mario + Rabbids season pass for twenty bucks (CAD) in a heartbeat.
I'll get Rayman if this sale comes to Europe
Rayman Legends is a free game on Playstation Plus this month. Otherwise it's still cheaper on PS4 than here on sale.
Even the physical Switch version is barely more expensive.
@AlternateButtons
I've been playing it on Switch and had no problems at all with the port. Loading times are fine, no judders and it looks great especially in handheld mode. Its a bonus not having to deal with the touchscreen faff if you don't want to as well. Very solid port.
I hate when companies hype sales with "up to 50%" but the biggest sale is also for the worst game, and anything worthy costs very close to the original price.
Would've picked up Mario + Rabbids for $30, can't really justify paying more than that when gamestop has a pre-owned version for the same price.
@BraveBiT I see deals for a physical copy of Mario+Rabbids for $30 at Best Buy, $24 for GCU members. Possibly buy a copy over there next time.
If you meant $30 with the dlc, we may have to wait awhile longer to get that good of a deal. I already have the base game, just looking for a deal on the dlc
I fail to see how this is “up to 50%” off.
I've seen Mario + Rabbids disc on sale a couple of times at Target for $30, once just recently, but then I remember the $20 season pass and I pass. So this is actually more than that, and I'm old fashioned and still prefer physical. I prefer physical so much I traded in God of War and kept the box w/ reversible cover sitting on my shelf.
Maybe when the DK DLC comes out it will motivate me.
@Whalehome hey, thanks for the heads up! I may jump on that BB deal. Not too worried about the DLC for now.
@FTPinkRabbit Well Ubi's sales seem a little stiff for Nintendo in general, though it's kind of new that they exist at all. Ubi tends to do that sometimes on other platforms. They'll sell the standard, digital deluxe, and gold versions of a game on sale with varying discounts. But depending on the sale, like last week they had an Assassin's Creed sale on Xbox, and a general Ubi sale on Playstation. The AC sale had the DLC and season passes for varous AC games discounted (at least somewhat.) And I didn't look too much at the general ubi sale but the last time they had one there were discounts on some DLC. EA and Squeenix do seem to discount DLC more frequently though, while Ubi discounts base games or "gold/complete" versions more frequently.
@Claytonbob "Up to". Monopoly is 50%. Everything else is less. "Up to...."
Oh look, Monopoly is now slightly reasonably priced!
sorry, I prefer physical
So if you buy Mario + Rabbids Gold edition the DLC is only costing you $10.20, but they can't put the DLC on sale for those of us that already bought the regular game? Forget that.
Owww I wish the expansions for Kingdom Battle were also on sale..!
@darthstuey because some people are making enough money to buy both retail and digital for convenient use.
ok monopoly...it's go time.
I got a physical copy of Rayman at Best Buy for $20.
i have 2 questions:
Mario + Rabbids in North America version includes Japanese?
