Another rumoured port has proved true thanks to the recent Nintendo Direct with the announcement that Little Nightmares: Complete Edition is headed to Switch this May. The entire game will be headed to the portable console with both Six's story (the yellow-jacketed main character) and the Kid's separate tale included as standard.
In it, you'll explore the twisted cells and depths of The Maw as well as attempting to solve environmental puzzles and outwit some truly terrifying beings in its dark and deadly interior. This indie darling has proved a huge hit elsewhere, so while it is another port, it will feel right at home with Switch's growing library of horror games.
Oh, and if you own a Pac-Man amiibo you can use it to get a special Pac-Man themed mask for Six. Well, it is published by Bandai Namco...
Little Nightmares: Complete Edition launches on Nintendo Switch on 18th May. Let us know what you make of this new addition to the Switch family...

This looks very good, but you guessed it, it's a port.
Was there any new game announced for Switch in the Direct? Even just 1.
Never heard of this title before the Direct. Looks weirdly interesting and I'm now going to have to check out some videos of it in action on other platforms.
I do own the Pac-Man Amiibo...but I hear this game is great from my sister and friends who’ve played it on PS4. I will pick it up!
This looks really good and I want!
I've been interested in this for a while now, I might wait and buy this at Halloween though.
I have exams during May which are bigger nightmares than what this will throw at me
Never heard of this title before. Should I have?
Where is black ops 4 oh wait LOL
@SLIGEACH_EIRE Depends on if Smash is new or not. Can't see them make a new game though this fast.
@Spoony_Tech Smash Bros. is a Wii U port for sure, slightly enhanced with a few added characters, like the Inklings and a few new stages. It's just not possible for it to be new, sure look at MK8 from Wii U to Switch.
Too many games coming out on May.
This game looks great, picking this up for sure
Can someone inform the Irish troll that a multiplatform release is not a port?
"We want major third party games Nintendo"
Ok, here's one.
"Ports."

This was a surprise to me as I haven't heard of it. Looks like unique graphics, puzzles, a little spooky...right up my alley. Glad this is coming soon.
@QwertyQwerty So? Retro Studios aren't porting Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze to Switch and countless other examples. The original developer doesn't have to make the port.
this one looks neat. never played and as long as it runs well portable i'm game.
@gortsi
i don't think the guy is a troll; just someone who needs to move on from N and get a PC.
@QwertyQwerty You've got it wrong. It doesn't say it's being developed by HAL Laboratory, the original copyright to Smash Bros. is owned by them and Nintendo. There is nothing in that trailer to suggest it's new. I think some characters like Link will get a BOTW model, some added stages, maybe add in some new modes but underneath it all, it'll still be the Wii U/3DS version.
@sword_9mm he's never even owned any non-Nintendo consoles, I doubt he'd get a PC. It would mean he would have to stop trolling and he gets too much enjoyment out of that
@gortsi
maybe. some of his/her issues are valid (hell i want a switch 2 now, N has it so close to perfect hardware wise), but yeah; it's a lot of complaining.
playstations are dirt cheap at least here in the US so unless ireland (which i'm guessing the guys from) has a 100000% markup on everything (why; since they're a giant tax haven) i don't get why the dude won't go fat console.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE
Smash
@therealgamer
is that a thing? are they still milking morons?
it's the madden effect for folks. and people say N recycles constantly. SMH.
@QwertyQwerty Well now, they were hardly going to call it Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. Of course they have to change it and a few other tweaks. I already said that Link will get a new model to represent BOTW. He's hardly going to be Twilight Princess Link.
@QwertyQwerty
ouch. poor optimization or is UE4 just too hard on the kid's systems?
the ps4/pro, xb1/x are horribly bad cpu wise so maybe that's the issue. switch isn't getting away from that either since the tegra has an awful memory throughput.
So glad I didn't pick this game up yet. I am definitely getting it on the Switch!
I'd never heard of this game before, but apparently I should have.
People say it's really good.
And it seems a lot of people just wanted this on Switch (which seems to be the common consensus for just about every game nowadays).
Might as well hold off any game that even has a remote chance of coming to Switch. Best to just wait and get it on the best system you can play it on, with console and handheld and portable console play included, often with motion controls and touch support and HD Rumble added. I see more more games adding in these options (not that this particular game uses them but...)
Ya, I'll check it out.
My wife and I would love this game
I’ve finally ignored the Irishman - constant blabbering about ports have drowned out his sporadic comment of interest. No loss.
This title intrigues me - love the look of it, and found it genuinely creepy (in a good way)
@QwertyQwerty I think the dips in Fortnite on PS4 are pretty validated based on how much is going on in the game at any one time.
Nice one! With this and Okami, 2 out of my 3 wishes regarding ports are fulfilled. Now i'll just go to my corner and patiently wait for Samus Returns......
@sword_9mm I’m Irish, but don’t tar us all with same brush! My Playstation pro cost around €400 here in Ireland, owning that and the Switch is the perfect combination. You get the best of both worlds; all the Nintendo exclusives and all the AAA heavy hitters. We just have to accept that the Switch isn’t going to get versions of say, Assassins Creeds or COD WW2. If not having a constant supply of AAA titles on Switch annoys some people so much, then buy a PS4 or XBOX1.
@nmanifold What a brilliant solution. Spend hundreds of €'s more on another console because Nintendo sure as hell won't be fixing this problem.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE It's not a solution, it's just the way it is, and has been for a long time. Nintendo went down a different path after the Gamecube while the 2 main competitors continued on with releasing more powerful(but similar spec) consoles. Yes in an ideal world it would be great to have one console capable of playing every big game released (Nintendo and the rest) but it's never going to happen again.
Sure I would have loved the Burnout Paradise remaster to come out on Switch, and I'd buy that over the PS4 version, but it seems unlikely now, but I still have the option to buy it.
Yes it's an expensive situation but you just have to make peace with it.
@nmanifold
and i don't care. you're still just talking about more rehashes and sequels.
indies are the only ones doing anything new. the 'big' pubs are pushing out the same stuff over and over and over and over.
i don't need more assassin's creed. i don't need more cod. i don't need more of the same stuff. if we're all going to get angry at N then get angry at the whole industry. it's all just sequels and ports from the big names.
@sword_9mm I agree 100%. I don't buy franchise/rehashed games like COD or A.Creed on my PS4, I buy games like Little Nightmares and Drive Club(I love driving games). It's sad to see Nintendo go down the same road doing remakes and ports... I bought a Wii U but hated that controller so much it put me off playing it as much as I should have. So I welcome these Wii U ports on Switch, but they shouldn't dominate the release schedule, they should compliment big new original games from Nintendo.
@nmanifold
i agree with that. i didn't have a wiiu so these are new games to me so it doesn't bother me too much which i expect MOST folks don't mind either. the wiiu sold terribly so these are new games to A LOT of people.
but yeah, new stuff would be nice. i just don't think we can expect N or anyone really to wow every 2 months with new stuff. now when the E3 stuff rolls around i expect them to have something 'more' to show. i'd like to see a new fzero in the mold of the snes version. i didn't like the gc version.
@sword_9mm a massive issue nowadays that a lot of people in this community don’t address is the time involved and cost of modern games. Sony & Microsoft keep pushing for faster better hardware not taking into account this means less AAA games. Most games companies just cannot develop high end titles anymore, and when they do they play it safe. Nintendo are feeling this strain too, even on the under-powered Switch. There needs to be less focus on constantly making better hardware, and more focus on just developing games. There’s too big of a divide between the production values on AAA titles and Indies.
@nmanifold
yeah, the cost is definitely gotten crazy with stuff like GTAV costing like 100's millions from what I've read.
so we get the same games over and over.
that's where the independent devs come in. smaller games, some new ideas here and there, stuff like that. yes there's too much pixel junk out there but again it comes back to cost.
i mean one of sony's big games is a remake of and update of a ps2 game. i mean, give me a break. no one gets a pass as they're all guilty of this.
Good news.
I have been stalking this game since it was released elsewhere and keeping everything crossed they would bring it to switch. This is exactly the game style that is ideal for this machine, puzzles, little bit of creepiness and beautiful graphics style. I really hope it’s the start of them bringing more and more of this type.
Games like this, as well as Nintendo classics. Will keep me coming back over and over. I also never got to play Skyrim first time round, too busy having kids! So I am so pleased to get the chance now, Dark Souls is already on pre order....
@sword_9mm yep I’m done with all these cheap indie metrovania style pixel junk, there’s some good games but enough is enough. They’re below SNES games in visuals and quality.
A great Virtual Console line up with different systems could fill the gaps and make up for the new game droughts. I know it’s basically more ports but it’s badly needed.
@nmanifold
i want a subscription service that allows me to play ALL THE THINGS. say nes to n64 at least. i know the controller isn't the same but i've dealt with it in emulation so it's doable.
@sword_9mm I big problem with that idea is, as far as I know, every game realeased on a new system needs to through the certification process for the each region/country (I may be wrong). So this makes it very expensive and time-consuming to batch upload 100’s of games at a time
@nmanifold
i guess do different things for say NA we get all the things and EU gets whatever their masters deem ok for them to play.
