Acclaimed 2D shooter Aqua Kitty is coming to the Switch eShop on February 15th, it has been revealed.
Already a hit on Sony systems, the Switch version will benefit from a host of improvements - hence the "UDX" at the end of the title. In fact, the developer is calling it the "best version on any format".
You'll be able to play solo or team up with a friend on the same console, and online leaderboards and in-game achievements should keep you coming back for more. Survival mode "Infinite Espresso" also wins an award for the best-named survival mode ever.
It's also worth noting that this version will showcase visual upgrades and improved balancing. Meow!
If this all sounds like it's your kind of thing, then you'll be pleased to learn that you can pre-purchase Aqua Kitty UDX on the eShop from today.

This game is very shallow, pun intended. For it to be better than the PS4 version it would first have to have......content.
Anyway, I don't seem to be able to find the price, which is not in the article, nor in eshop-prices.com, nor in Nintendo website.
I really enjoyed it on Vita. No reason to get it again, but fun little game.
Oh man. A good, light-hearted HSHMUP that I really enjoyed years ago on Steam... plus it has CATS.
As @HauntingNostrils said before it's not very deep, but it gets quite though later on, especially on Infinte Espresso mode.
Think I might pull the trigger again, let's see the price.
Cat Gradius ?
@Anti-Matter Cradius? Lol
No....Catius..
Involves Cats 🐱. Day One.
Passed on the LRG physical release but may go for a digital copy on the Switch at some point.
this a port of the XBox One version. hence the same name
Classic sh'm'up action and visuals with Fantasy Zone and Defender callbacks. I like the look of this, very much. Might be the first sh'm'up on Switch for me.
@HauntingNostrils Don't know why mention ps4 in this context....ps4 is only for cod and fifa anyway.
Also hope Tikipod eventually manage to release Iron Crypticle on Switch... it's an incredible classic-themed twin stick shooter
@TrumpsHand The game has been on PSN for ages, that's why. Also, I don't think you're that blinkered that you believe any of these systems are for such a slim demographic of the gaming populous, so nice try but no medal.
