HAL Laboratory is a studio that is primarily known for one thing: Kirby. The series has arguably never been doing better, and with a new Kirby game due out on Switch next year, one would think that the company would be focusing all its resources on the super tuff pink puff, but a new announcement today has shown that HAL is also interested in expanding its options into a new field for the company.
HAL announced today a new subsidiary label called HAL Egg, which will be focused on smartphone content and largely act as another pillar for the company. A new smartphone title is expected to come out sometime this fall, but it’ll be starring a brand-new character, not Kirby. No other details are available at the present, but considering that fall is just around the corner, expect to hear more about this one fairly soon.
What do you think? How will a new smartphone game from HAL go down? Do you think this new branch might eventually make a Kirby mobile game? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

Cool.
Super android bro's.
I have no interest in mobile games at all. I like the logo, though.
Hm....
I'm so eggcited.
This could be eggtreme!
I smell a bad egg, yuk mobile.
Damn...now I am actually worried mobile games will become interesting.
Yolk gotta know it's gonna be a Box Boy successor
Mario on mobile was good I couldn't get Fire Emblem to work.... I'd be excited for a Kirby mobile game though! Wonder what they will come up with before Kirby😏
Will those mobile games still be considered apart of nintendo and be covered on this site?
@amiiboacid
They have stories about people hacking Nintendo consoles, so I think we'll get to hear about them if they make some Nintendo related stuff.
I hope they don't shell out too many resources for HAL Egg.
Pokemon snap anyone?
Yes!! HAL is amazing. More content from them is always good nees.
RIP Hal! They have seen all those companies with the big bags of microtransaction money, and they couldn't resist. When a gaming company enters the mobile-field, that's always the start of the decline. You guys won't agree, but I don't care.
