Splatoon 2 is the game that keeps on giving; much like its Wii U predecessor regular updates will ensure that the experience never gets stale. It's been revealed that a new weapon - affectionately known as the Classic Squiffer - will be available to pick up tomorrow from the Ammo Knights store; it's free in real-world money, of course.
As Chargers go, its range leaves something to be desired - but in exchange you get blazing fast charge speed, so you can respond quickly to any threat!
And don't worry - its formidable firepower is also intact, letting you splat opponents in a single blast when fully charged.
This weapon comes complete with Point Sensors and the Ink Armor special.

I can't get the hang of the charger at all. The name of this alone makes me interested though lol. Squiffer... lol
Nice set. I'm already cursing all those deadeye snipers that will own a poor anti-sniper squelcher-user like me with this thing.
Fast charging insta-kill weapon? Count me in. Although it basically looks and sounds like a sniper rifle for noobs...
Thank God!
My main of Splatoon 2 is back!
@bolt05 being a good sniper is really really hard, almost played 150 hours sniper in Splatoon 1 and still wasn't that great with the long range rifles. So i recommend the squiffer, you don't have to charge that long and can still one-shot opponents (and you still get that satisfying kill sound)
I have Splatoon2 but I still haven't even play the game. I just need better internet (I fear they ban me), I went to the store and they are supposed to give me more speed in the next couple of days for just $5 more which is great deal. I'm waiting for that so I can finally play this.
Really appreciate the frequency with which this game is updated. It's quickly become my favorite of the year, even ahead of Zelda, Yakuza Zero and Horizon and I'm a huge fan of all three of those. I hardly ever play online games but at least 15 hours (maybe more) of the 25 I've played have been online. Extremely fun stuff.
Nice, was hoping to have this back. Bamboozler too, please!
Never liked chargers... Though I'd prefer the Bamboozler.
People seem to be real bad at chargers. Used to hate them back in Splatoon 1, now they are rather easy to take out unless you get too careless or the charger wielder is really really careful. Still can't play with them.
Also, come on, Nintendo, give us a new stage finally! Splatoon had 16 stages when all updates were done, Splatoon 2 is said to get more than that in a year's time so get with it!
@GoldenGamer88 Yeah man, im getting bored as well. It always seems to be moray towers when i sit down to play in the evening. I cant wait 2 hours for the darn map to cycle, its absurd!!!
I think we might see a new stage added in time for next week's Splatfest. That happened 2 or 3 times in the original. Or maybe not and we just get the Splatfest stage with a new theme.
Aqua color !
Aw, I was hoping for something like the Sloshing Machine or Bamboozler. I never liked the Squiffers.
Definitely most favourite weapon so far has got be splat brella
But i do love good sniper! But my only frustrate is about all splat chargers is that sometimes i can hit dead on and other times i hit 'em and inkling is still alive and kicking! :/ lol
Though i do recommend this gun its soooo much faster than its other counter parts. Plus charge rate is a great edition and i feel like you can cover alot more turf with this gun thanks to quicker charge time.
omg YES
I was always terrible with sniper rifles, even in Splatoon 1. I'm trying to get better at it though. I'll give it a shot like everything else.
@bolt05 Well, it's not really a thing of being bored of the eight that are there for me. It's really just excitement of what other stages Nintendo has cooking and what old stages will make a return as well. I'm guessing the first new stage will be that ship.
Also, only playing Moray Towers everyday - what an utter nightmare.
Just sitting here waiting for the bamboozler.
I really do like the mobility for the squiffer and the bamboozler. That and the quick charge time is worth the shorter distance, which should be great for these new maps.
I wonder if they have a short charge hold time.
Edit: Basically any niche weapon in this game I will use, they are always so much fun.
Started playing it last week, really enjoying it. I do want more stages, though. But the first game had 16 after all the updates, so I know they're coming. Hopefully they release some soon.
How about releasing a new map or two next Nintendo?
Chargers are great for picking off enemies, but unfortunately that's not the goal in Turf War. I find a sniper on a team to just be a liability. It's all about spreading ink, and chargers are, quite frankly, terrible at it.
I'm not the best with sniper rifles, but if I had to use one, it would probably be the Squiffer. Glad to see it come back - hopefully the Bamboozler and Sloshing Machine won't be too far behind.
Still waiting for many of the other weapons from Splatoon 1...
Where are the alternative versions of the Jet Squelcher, Dual(ie) Squelcher, Splattershot Pro, N-Zap and Slosher? Where is the Sloshing Mashine?
I generally like their system of continued content updates, but I would've preferred if all the weapons from the old game were included at launch...
@Blue_Blur Me neither and in the original game, the Squiffer also was my favourite charger (apart from the Splatlings). But IMHO the Goo Tuber is even better, at least it feels more mobile to me.
I want new stages, where's that update (((
If you only want to use chargers because of that satisfying "CHING!", give blasters a try. Easier to "CHING!" with, very deadly and precise weapon and also nice ink spread for those if you who for some reason don't want to give the ranked modes a try.
I can't play chargers at all, but at least I seem to ink a decent amount of ground with them. The problem with most charger users is that they play their weapon like a regular sniper rifle in other FPS's. Splatoon is not a regular FPS.
I like chargers against salmonids more than against inklings.
Every time a see a charger on my team in turf wars I let out a groan. Its like playing with 3.5 people on your team. You will always see them last in the ranking with the least splats as well. Keep thinking to myself they really want to play COD but just don't know it
@JJ286 I just use a wired connection
Yes! Was waiting for either a Squiffer of Bamboozler to make it's way back in
I have to say I've been having fun with the Splatbrella in the meantime, though
@MisterKorman yep, thats exactly what they said. That they will ban anyone with too many disconnections.
