LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 has just received a new trailer courtesy of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and developer TT Games. The sequel shows Guardians of the Galaxy duo Rocket and Groot blasting their way through the planet Chronopolis, featuring a host of new and returning characters including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Spider-Man 2099, Spider-Gwen, Ms Marvel, Ant-Man, Dr Strange, Dr Octopus and Loki to name a few.
Players will be tasked with defeating Kang the Conqueror through various new locations like Ancient Egypt, Sakkar, The Old West, New York City in 2099, and many more Marvel settings are expected to appear, building on the success of the first entry.
The trailer (which you can view below) states that the game is due for release across Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on 14 November, 2017, however the PR sent out from the team reads that the "game will be released for Nintendo Switch this Holiday". The information is currently conflicting a little and we will update once we have confirmation.
Back in 2013 we rated the original outing for Wii U as excellent, giving it a 9/10 - You can read the full review here.
Are you looking forward to this one?

Getting for Switch, no matter when it comes out
Day 1
Is that Ms. Marvel? Well then, I'm sold!
X-Men will be missed but it should still be awesome.
PARKER!!! What's this!!! I don't want pictures of spider noir, spiderman 2099 and spidergwen!!! I want pictures of spiderMAN!!! NOW!!!
Joking aside, this will be a day one buy for me.
Lego has such great comedic writing and +1 for The Hives.
I want DC heroes.
Ugh...
Too gaudy their looking.
I need some Sporty , Simple and Futuristic looking for LEGO games.
I prefer Normal looking LEGO (Police, Sportsmen, Job outfits, Formalwear, Simple Futuristic outfits, etc) rather than Gaudy looking LEGO ( Western Super Heroes costumes).
Also, I never have any interest at all (ZERO interest) with Marvel Heroes.
Sorry guys...
Nope, as I'm sure it will be an unfinished mess, like the rest.
""game will be released for Nintendo Switch this Holiday""
And the pattern from this morning continues.
Not sure if ti's Nintendo's fault for sending dev kits out late or not, but I really can't recall so many games being delayed on 1 platform as opposed to others, PS3, PS4, Xbox360 and Xbox One. The games that Wii U got were sometimes incomplete, but I believe they still released on the same day. Well Watch Dogs does jump out at me.
Oh well, after the Wii U I guess the Switch slogan can be "Better late than never."
I have seen it proposed, and agree, that the unconfirmed release date for the Switch has more to to with the expected release of the newest game featuring a certain mustachioed Italian plumber and not wanting to compete with that title than it has to do with it being incomplete.
The lack of X-Men and Fantastic Four in the trailer is disturbing. Lego used to be the place where everyone could get along despite licensing difficulties that plagued the rest of the media formats.
Another game I may have to end up buying while using a excuse
Ok, I'm hyped.
@MrHero Yeah, like in the first Lego Marvel, where the X-Men and FF had a prominent part. For me, it's no X-Men, no buy.
Loved the 1st game, def getting this!
