Mega Ran - friend of Nintendo Life and nerdcore rapper extraordinaire - is back with a new video for his song "Church" which we thought we'd share as it's been done with a 1989 Nintendo Game Boy style which even people who aren't fans of this genre of music should enjoy. You might also recognise the sample from Super Mario World in parts of the track.

More info from the man himself:

Mega Ran's high energy banger "Church" gets a video, done painstakingly in an 8-bit dot-matrix style, popularized by the Nintendo GameBoy. BluChu Designs' video depicts Ran and 'Desh as a pair of ghost-busting rhyme fighters, called out to save a very familiar foe, Alex Trebek.

Ran made waves last fall when his "diss" freestyle against Trebek landed on TMZ, after the famed game show host took a shot a rappers who make "nerdcore" music, calling them "Losers."

Mega Ran takes the high road and rids Trebek's house of the undead spirits (like the ghosts from Pac-Man), and saves the day while dropping some ill braggadocio like "Presidential steez, on my Jack Tunney/ They see me on the move to they act funny/ no plan trying to get up on my grown man, who else in the state fund a honeymoon with rap money?"

If you're based in the UK, why not catch Mega Ran on one of his upcoming tour dates in May?
