Video: Nintendo Life Emerges Victorious From YouTube Gaming Sessions At EGX 2015

Alex Olney secures a trio of wins

At EGX 2015 YouTube went big on gaming, hosting its own stand where it streamed footage of famous faces taking each other on in various titles. One such famous face was our very own Alex Olney, who was recently nominated for a Games Media Award.

Olney took part in three YouTube Gaming sessions, all of which you can view below. In the first, the game was Rocket League - a title that our resident video expert hadn't even played - yet he somehow found himself on the winning team. Later on during the expo, Alex was thankfully in more familiar territory as he took on a load of other famous YouTube stars on Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U.

These were close-run battles, with YouTube star Terroriser both playing a mean game and offering plenty of competitive banter - but Alex secured the victories.

I was expecting to see high level play... and 200cc is a dumb choice for this "competition"... some of those people appeared to have never played the game.

Was anyone able to capture that 1 minute long tease of XCX during the stream? People made it out to be some big thing, and it only ended up being a minute with low quality audio.
