There can be the perception that an RPG can be made out of anything, and the upcoming Adventure Bar Story on 3DS is proof of that. Set to arrive in the coming week in North America for $5.99, this eShop game certainly has a quirky premise.
It has the usual RPG elements of setting up a Party and venturing out into the land, but that's all in aid of running a bar, winning over the locals and seeing off a major business rival. Collecting vital resources and pushing big sales at your bar is a mix of tasks not often undertaken.
Originally released on smartphones, you can see 10 minutes of iOS footage below - will any of you be raising your glass to this?

Looks pretty cool.
looks fun
for $6 looks quite decent and the combat looks interesting enough, i might get it if Nintendo doesnt add cool VC game
Meh, I'm not really convinced. The visual design is too lazy for my taste.
Love the old-school look to it, and I'm a fan of other hybrid Shop/RPG games (like Recettear), so I will probably get this one.
Curious. Unfortunately for them, I'm quite busy with MH4U and MM, so I'm gonna have to pass... And there's enough on my backlist to download that I probably won't end up grabbing this one at a later point. But who knows?
As long as it doesn't crash every five minutes like a certain RPG on the 3DS I'll be getting this.
I'm looking for good downloadable titles for the 3DS that aren't VC games at the moment, will definitely consider this one.
Looks interesting enough, and the one major irrational fanboy stance I allow myself is hatred for mobile gaming, so I try to support devs who move back to dedicated handhelds. I'll keep my eye on this, especially since I need 5 coins to hit platinum for the year.
Hmm looks pretty fun actually. I'm busy running through my Club Nintendo Rewards right now; with Xenoblade, Wolly World, Zelda, and Star Fox on the horizon I'm going to be plenty pressed for time..
Although with spring/summer around the corner one of my favorite things to do is set up a hammock or game before a nights sleep while camping. So I'll have to find some solid titles on the 3ds to keep me busy! Feels great to have so many game options
For all its supposed quirks it comes off as very generic. The graphics, the writing, the music, the combat system. It looks functional but not like anything special.
Bartender! The usual........Just when I thought I would be picky of upcoming releases. A game comes out I cannot control myself. Yep I will be getting. I'm glad to see they are not tripling the price of an android title for once. Just for that I'm buying. Now will I be Able to break away from Monster Hunter 4. Probably not
Looks pretty good, I like the art style and simple graphic, the music is pretty good as well. If it's a short and sweet experience, I might get it. I don't want to be too invested into it, so I hope it's not a long or repetitive ones.
NORM!
Looks like a weak attempt at a Kairosoft rip off. Just put Kairosoft games on Wii U and 3DS eShops already!
it looks interesting i may buy it
Rpg at the right price is always worth a look.
Curse you CIRCLE! I haven't finished off Witch & Hero or Demon King Box yet, and I've yet to even begin playing The Legend of Dark Witch that I already purchased. Stop releasing so many fun (and in this case as I've yet to play it, looking) games, I don't have the time.
As you may tell, I love the look of this game. I love my turn based RPGs and this seems a pretty fun take on one. Luckily it only has a US release date (spare me, for I've so many other games to play still) for the moment, but I'll likely get it once it comes out in the EU.
The old school look is nice, but it's not "clean" enough, hope it'll look better on 3ds but I'll have to consider it.
To the ever growning Wish List of mine you go.
