After a long development process, the medieval strategy game Manor Lords launched onto Steam Early Access on 26th April 2024 with an Xbox release planned for "shortly afterwards".

A combination of city building, tactical battles, and social simulation, Manor Lords certainly sounds like the type of game that would be a good fit for Switch, but will we actually see it happen? Is a Switch version on the way?

Is Manor Lords On Switch?

To put it simply, no, Manor Lords is not on Nintendo Switch.

What's more, it doesn't look like it is going to be. At the time of writing, Manor Lords developer Slavic Magic has only mentioned a release for PC and Xbox, with no other consoles currently on the cards.

Of course, a Switch port (or one for Nintendo's next console) isn't completely out of the question, but it seems unlikely for the time being.

We will keep this guide updated should there be any relevant announcements in the future.

What Is Manor Lords?

Manor Lords is a city-building strategy game from solo developer Greg Styczeń. In it, you play as a medieval lord ruling over an initially small settlement with the hope of growing it into a bustling city. Like many games in the genre, Manor Lords sees you managing resource chains, making aesthetic decisions on your city's layout and even looking to neighbouring territories to expand your reach further

While there are battle elements, this is an atmospheric city builder at heart, focusing more on relaxation than rebellion. Village expansion is an option, though Styczeń has made clear that this is not a Civilisation-style domination game, with things actually taking place on a much smaller scale.

One of Manor Lords' key features is its historical accuracy. The game is inspired by the architecture of late 14th-century Franconia and many of its gameplay and visual features draw from this time to ensure that everything is as period-appropriate as possible.
