I agree with Cyrus-Zuo on Driift Mania. I enjoy the game but the controls can be difficult unless your using a very slow car. Its not as casual friendly as you think.

Why is Wii Sport Resort not on this list? Sure its not 8 players but still a great party game.

Glad to hear you're enjoying Driift Mania even more!

Wii Sports Resort isn't there specifically b/c it isn't an 8-player game. I play with 6-8 people whenever I play multiplayer. So WSR gets some love, but the lack of 8-player means that half the room has to sit, or we do weird substituting, which also means lots of sitting watching while also playing with sort of a bad (not in the game by default) structure. Anyway, it doesn't quite work out unfortunately, it's surprising Nintendo didn't make an 8-player mode, it would have certainly been welcomed by me.
Driift Mania definitely has improved, but the problem mentioned is certainly a downer. You cannot have a friend who hasn't played before jump in with you and have fun .

Have you tried RRR TV Party yet? I can't believe I didn't mention it sooner. I love that game and I highly recommend it for multiplayer sessions.

I haven't played it. I thought it was a 4-player game?

It features 8-player support where players alternate but scores are all calculated towards the same tally. Just be prepared for a long session on some mini-games that may require the Balance Board for only one person at a time. Thankfully, though, players can still have fun whilst waiting for their time by messing up the player currently playing. Even if it's not what you have in mind for an 8-player session for simultaneous play (then again, neither is BBA: Wii Degree - same principle for 8 players I believe), I still recommend you give it a shot. I'm sure you'll love it in group settings.

If you're including Gamecube titles (and have 4 GC controllers), Mario Party 7 has a couple of full 8-player modes that are a lot of fun, so long as you like Mario Party games in general .

LOL you just said Mario Party 7 and fun in the same sentence.

Anyway, if any of your have DSi's get mixed messages. It's an amazing experience.

Karaoke Revolution Party for Gamecube (play it in Wii) is for 8 people

In VC some TG16 games are for 5 players: I recommend Battle Lode Runner, Bomberman 93/94 and Dungeon Explorer.

Me gusta jugar videojuegos. Soy de México. Sorry my english grammar. I love the Virtual Console, party and fighting games too.

I was a huge fan of the TG16 (still have mine, but am now slowly selling the games to get some cash). I've been disappointed DE2 hasn't made the VC. I still have my old disc, as I really enjoyed both DE games. Battle Lode Runner is fun, but there are only a few winning strategies. I really like Moto Roader as well, but it is hard for people to pick up and play against someone who knows what they're doing.
I've really appreciated the additional game thoughts, I picked up Gravitronix and Target Toss Pro yesterday, but haven't given them a run yet. I'm moving RRR TV Party up higher on my GameFly list.
Mixed Messages is cool, I'm running a similar DS thread that hasn't been nearly as well responded, it's one I forgot.

I'm still following the thread & psyched to see you got Target Toss Pro (Bags) after I posted about it. Will be interested to hear @cyrus_zuo comments once you try your new games, particularly in the 8-person setting! Have fun.
