Topic: Super Smash Bros. for Wii U - OT

I kinda figured he would pick one or two during the ballot to start working on them. So who knows.

@Megumi Most likely. I doubt that the stages and Mii costumes were all they were working on during the summer.

I still think Rool is coming, and the Mii outfit was a hint.

To be honest I don't think they'll actually post results. They'll just announce the Ballot influenced characters when they are ready to do so. I doubt they will all be announced at once either.

So just because K Rool is the first one announced doesn't mean he was the most voted for character. Also, just because K Rool is announced before Shovel Knight doesn't mean that K Rool has more votes than SK. We'll most likely never know who had the most votes, but it ultimately doesn't matter.

@Megumi: Given his popularity, I think he's a safe bet.

Honestly I don't even care who wins the ballot, I'm confident that Sakurai and company will pick good characters and make unique fighters, I just hope whoever they are it's kept a secret so it'll be a big surprise at reveal.

And for those who will hate certain characters, look at it this way...I hated Jigglypuff, all the more reason why you should make a 7 vs. 1 match against a level 1 Jigglypuff with level 9 opponents. lol

I kind of wish they acknowledged the end of the ballot a little more. It'd show that they cared about our votes...

There have been a lot of changes at Nintendo recently. I think they will say something when they have a new Direct.

Has anyone ever actually questioned that the ballot is totally rigged and they're just going to put in who they want?

To me, it would have made more sense if they narrowed down the top 3 choices and made it a poll.

@Rexcalibr: honestly, as long as they chose interesting, fun characters I wouldnt mind so much.

@Rexcalibr: Well, the ballot was never a popularity contest of who gets the most votes (though one of the characters will probably get in via that trend), the fanbase just assumed that was the case.

Apparently there's a private video in the Smash Bros trailer playlist on Nintendo's youtube channel. People think that this means that a new dlc character announcement is coming.
Edit: Nevermind. I jsut did some research, and it may very well be just a Smash 3ds commercial.

@enderboy221: It says that it's private in the playlist. It still appears on the playlist, you just can't view the video. And it's been private for about a day.

@DarthNocturnal: I don't know! Maybe it's a Youtube glitch or something. Apparently the thumbnail says that it's from 2014, and I just heard from someone on the internet that it's a random commercial, so I don't know for a fact that it's a commercial, but I do know for a fact that it's from 2014.
