I don't mind going against a team slightly better then ours, but we're fighting almost exclusively full S+ squads.

I'm sorry, I'm not used to play Rainmaker in Kelp Dome. I'll try my best!

I'm not used to Rainmaker in any of these levels.

Do you know what level I haven't played in months? Saltspray Rig. Just sayin', it feels like they cut that level out or something.

@Nicolai saltspray was actually just in SZ in the previous rotation. Unless you mean rainmaker on it which I don't think I've played for awhile either

Sometimes it feels so weird when I use the junior since it has a lot more mobility than the 3K. I was using a run speed too though

Ah geez, what a lousy session of Splatoon I just had. I used to be able to turn to Turf War for more casual gameplay whenever I was feeling "less then fresh," but lately, Turf War had gotten just as competitive as Ranked Battle. Stuff like this gives me the feeling that I don't play any weapon or mode well anymore, or that my weapons are somehow less effective. Not only was I losing every game, but I was also getting the lowest stats out of my teammates.

Also, I wish there was an easier way to hunt down gear in this game. If you want a specific piece of gear, you're left with only the slim chance that they're one of the 6 or so items on stock, or playing against someone who was wearing it online.

Oh well, soapbox over.

Huh. I think I have Splat Zones sorted now. I slapped on a Cold-Blooded shirt, and I performed so much better. I went down to A+ 30 on Rainmaker, of all things, and then fought back up on the Splat Zones rotation just gone. I never noticed how much of a problem Echolocator was. I'm unsure as to whether it pings for a short time, as there's a ring around me for a few moments, but I'm definitely running an Echolocator setup now.

Yes, the good snipers won't even let you or me try to swim erratically around, I had one match on Flounder Heights were every time I got close to the middle of the map or on the tower, the Charger hit me. Every. Single. Time. XD

Been experimenting with some gear and got somehow lucky, as I have a Firefin Cap with Special Charge up as main and three Special Savers as sub, although I wanted three Ink Saver Sub abilities. ^^

@TheXReturns: I use the Echolocator a lot, but so does everyone else, unfortunately. Lately, it feels like I'm tagged the entire game.

I have had quite a few fights where I was tagged for most of the battle. The funny thing is I go full ham every time and splat everything around me

@Nicolai For a roller who prides himself on stealth, Echolocator is literally the worst thing an enemy can be running...

Man, I haven't been able to do any good today. And boy do I like it when someone uses his Kraken while sitting on the tower. How are you even supposed to get them off it?

@Lycidas I usually use the custom 3K for tower control and will use the kraken to defend the tower, but due to the recent patches, it can be pushed off usually if you fire at them. However one thing I found useful in counteracting that is keeping the centre of the tower on the opposite side of the enemy so it helps keep me on and jumping which I think helps me stay in place.
But ya I think the most effective thing is to shoot at kraken to try and push them off. They are a lot easier to push back than before the patch.
