@Chandlero: You make a good point about WW HD. As the first Zelda game to get the HD treatment on Wii U - was it over 2 years ago now? - common sense would dictate that now with TP HD coming out for $50 the 2 year / 12 year old game would now be on the Select $19.99 list.
Fortuantley for me, and probably many others, we got WW HD for free w/ MK8 back in the day. Here's hoping the new My Nintendo account has some similarly good deals. It's been too long w/o member benefits. I miss getting all my free games.

Apparently the quantities will be low at least at GameStop according to one of the employees at my local GameStop. So preorder what you want while you can. If he is correct then quantities will most likely be low everywhere. Maybe he is wrong but better safe than sorry.
Amazon has these up for pre-order. Because they're being considered new games, Prime users get 20% ($4) off the already discounted price! Super Mario 3D World for $16!

Thanks for the heads up mate!

Just so I know, is Nintendo Selects any different than the regular release?
I, of course, have all the ones I want but I've not yet opened my Tropical Freeze and I looks like I can sell it for much more than the Selects will cost. Any reason not to?
New Super Mario Bros. U & New Super Luigi U (bundle pack)
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
Wii Party U
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD
Lego City Undercover
I've got them all besides Wii Party U and Lego City Undercover, I may get City but I'd rather get Lego Batman 3 and Lego Avengers first but the lack of DLC for Batman has put me off from buying the Wii U version and Avengers just seems too samey as Marvel.
I am so glad that I will finally play Wind Waker in HD. I never wanted buy the game I already own for 59.99 EUR again. However, now it has a very nice price!

FWIW, Lego City is a real Wii U game, and not just a standard carbon copy of every other LEGO game. The bad thing with it is the loading times.
I still tink it' sweird how different the 2 lists appear to be (to me anyway, I haven't had time to do a 1 to 1 comparison). But Pikmin 3, LCU, SM3DW, NES Remix, NSMBU I'm pretty sure are in one but not the other. Just aggravating. Just make all of them Selects on both sides and make lots of money. They won't be losing any money b/c how many people are buying these at full price anyway? Lego City hasn't been on store shelves in 2 years .
Well at least they are releasing at the same time this time, unlike the 3DS Selects last year that were EU only. Maybe Nintnedo of Europe hates Reggie as much as I do? Or more likely he hates them as much as he hates me.

I almost have every retail Wii U game I want downloaded, the ones I'm missing is Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze and New Super Mario Bros. U and Luigi U, so these news are brilliant!
@rjejr: NES Remix pack was never available in EU, the only way to buy was the 2 digital games on the eshop. I totally see the other NA ones (Pikmin 3, SM3DW) being part of the next EU wave alongside key 2014 games like MK8, Smash Wii U, Hyrule Warriors and Bayonetta 2.
What will the spine of the Nintendo Selects Wii U titles look like?
I currently only have one Nintendo Selects Title, Mario Galaxy 1. I noticed the boarder artwork stops at the front and doesn't continue on the spine so I looks the same sitting on the shelf. What will the spine of the Nintendo Selects Wii U titles look like?
@Tsurii: It looks like the only one I could switch out would be Tropical freeze and the saving would be about $30.
