I bought a Wii U - The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD Deluxe Edition when it first came out. It's been used only for a short time & been sitting in the shelve for most part. It's essentially new (no scratches & still very shiny). I'm downsizing as me & wife are moving soon so I'm thinking of selling it with the rest of my stuff. Wondering how much it cost now if I'm going to sell this on Ebay. I got multiple controllers that goes with it. The Gamepad also comes with an extended battery. I've also included physical copies of Pikmin 2 (Wii) & Pikmin 3 (Wii U) as extra. Also have some games that I'm planning to sell separately. I need your help guys for a reasonable appraisal before I'll put this on Ebay. Thanks in advance.
Being used, no matter the condition, I'd consider this to be somewhat equivalent to the refurb Zelda sold by Nintendo at $235.. the main advantage of buying the refurb vs yours tho (in my opinion) is Nintendo includes a 1 yr warranty.
I thought about a used Wii but went with a refurb because of the warranty.
If I were you, I'd try listing it on Craigslist and/or the Facebook sales groups before ebay. Ebay takes a cut, Paypal takes a cut, you have the hassle of shipping, AND there will be a lot more units just like your on eBay to compete against. Craigslist you might get a slightly higher price from a local buyer without fees and having to ship.
With Craigslist you have to deal with people sending you lowball offers and/or being really flaky when it comes to meeting up to complete the actual transaction.
I've had good luck off Craigslist and Facebook both.. in fact, just had a nice sale earlier today.. no fees, got the price I wanted, didn't have to ship..
