So the terms and conditions says the NNID must be created on a Wii U Deluxe set. However it is only mentioned at the website. (And only after the convoluted process to get a 3DS one attached (Which won't work during setup because of the software not being up to date).

The question is given the NNID I used was created on a 3DS. Is it impossible to have the Digital Deluxe thing working ? (Due to it specifically stating it must be created on a Wii Deluxe Set).

(Club Nintendo was already linked via the 3DS as well so it can be only be unlinked. Which it is implied applies to both. Dunno whether that is completely separate or not).

It was an absolute nightmare what I had to do get it to work at all.

(And you don't even find out about that it must be created on a Wii U Deluxe Set until you try to login to the site).

As long as you used the same NNID on the Wii U that you used on a 3DS, it should work, even if the ID was created on a 3DS. It did for me.
