Hi, I'm currently registered in the Singapore Region after getting my Switch and have been playing and saving games on the console ever since. I am looking at switching region as I would like to access to Nintendo's eShop (Current region that I'm on does not have eShop unfortunately). Will my current Legend of Zelda: BOTW saved games be lost after I make the switch to other regions that support eShop?

@DGPLAY Yes. Your game saves will be fine.

However, on a side note, nintendo strongly advises that if you buy DLC, they say you must buy dlc from the same region that you bought the game. If you look up buying DLC on nintendo support's websites, they will mention this.

So, to summarize. The console is region free. You can buy and play games from any region, just be sure that if you buy DLC, the DLC region must match the region you bought the game.

@DGPLAY Also, be careful. Do not change eshop regions If you have unspent money on your current eshop. You will lose unspent money if you change regions. There's no way to get that money back.

@WoomyNNYes Hey thank you for the above advice!
I have the physical BOTW game actually and I intend to download the extra DLC content without losing my current game saves.

Or make two NOA accounts where one is set to your Home Region and the other like mine can switch (Pun) between NA and Japan when buying DLC or downloading Japan DLC switching the online NOA account to Japan so I can get the DLC and use it on both accounts.

@SwitchForce Will try that too! Sounds more versatile in getting good bargains between different eShop's region. Thanks!
